When did you do your IELTS?

Just got IELTS results: speaking- 8, writting- 8, listening- 7 and reading- 7 ; overall band- 7.5
I think that makes 14 out of 16, right ?
I submitted a letter indicating english proficiency in my application to CIO but took the IELTS anyway to be on a safer side.
Should I send the IELTS score to CIO as I had checked the wrong box (no english test taken) in my application and have it changed or just leave it alone and submit IELTS only with second application to CIC?
Thooughts appreciated.

I want to start my Fast Track Immigration process, but I am bit confused in my case. As my spouse is a Biomedical engineer NOC code 2148 (having five years working experience) and I am a Senior Software Engineer NOC code 2173 (having 2.5 years working experience).

Please any one suggest that who will be the principal applicant in our case? Does my profession lies in 0213 category or any other suggestions.

M also working as Staff. Software QA Engineer and had applied under 0213 catg. Title does't matter you just need to make sure that the duties you are performing at your job are similar/equivalent to the ones mentioned by "Human Resources and Skills Development Canada" for NOC 0213.

Computer and information systems managers perform some or all of the following duties:
•Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of information systems and electronic data processing (EDP) departments and companies
•Develop and implement policies and procedures for electronic data processing and computer systems operations and development
•Meet with clients to discuss system requirements, specifications, costs and timelines
•Assemble and manage teams of information systems personnel to design, develop, implement, operate and administer computer and telecommunications software, networks and information systems
•Control the budget and expenditures of the department, company or project
•Recruit and supervise computer analysts, engineers, programmers, technicians and other personnel and oversee their professional development and training.

Note: Do not Copy Paste these duties, you should elaborate them in your own word.

When did you do your IELTS?

I did it on May 08 and got the results today. I filed application to CIC in April and later realized I better take the test so, registered for IELTS. I think I made a good decision and would encourage other members to do so too, especially given the change from April 10. 
But my main concern is, whether I update CIC with my IELTS results now or wait until they respond (which may be a rejection too) to submit the results later to CIC (or CIO again in case they reject from there itself).

Dear Murtaza, same thing is happening with me as well. But we have to be realistic. two months is min time they are taking for majority of cases which means you are looking at 19th june as a tentative date to recieve your update (DOC request Inshallah). Try to be busy or start somehting healthy like joining a gym. I am trying to keep busy myself and trying not to spent anytime worrying about it. GOD`s will will happen...

 I am planning to write a letter to CHC explaining this along with my full application. I will also attach the prints of emails shared between my husband and the letter issuing team as a supporting evidence.

 Although this process is still a long way away as I am yet to receive my first AOR just thought if you guys could give me your views on this matter and I would be better prepared when the first AOR comes.

Hi Sapana,

You can do one more thing, get that letter stamped / signed by your husband's boss and also ask the boss to give him another letter stating the same that reference letters are issued by external agency and he confirms that your husband is working with the company and any further information if required he can be contacted and with that attach the boss business card.

Your welcome, these letter will just make your case genuine and visa officer will not have any doubts and more importantly he will not ask you later to provide such letters which will save time for you.

Dont loose hope buddy you will get AOR before 22nd June , just keep your all other documents ready and if possible try to sit an ielts test for a backup.

Confused 

As far as my education is concerned, I am a BS in Computer Sciences. My husband is MBA plus B.E in Biomedical Engineering but I think his profession not lies in fast track process.

I have read out in several posts that 2173 falls in sub category of 0213 and so is eligible for FSW PR.

My job responsibilities includes

    * Act as a lead in a team and mange the team, planned the development of modules.
    * Developed applications independently meeting the client requirements.
    * Provide support to the live clients in UK (Itim Systems).
    * Research, evaluate and synthesize technical information to design, develop web applications.
    * Develop data, process models to optimize architecture and to evaluate the performance and  reliability  of designs.
    * Plan, design and co-ordinate the development, integration and operation of computer applications.

Please help me in my case

No need to retake IELTS, I have heard that if your IELTS is less than one year old at the time of initial application to CIO then its OK. People have submitted ielts 14 months old and they got visa.

This section of the manual is for the visa office to follow when asessing applications. The procedure for CIO to follow is section 7, according to this section they are not required to check IELTS for assessing an application. So still no one need to send IELTS results with initial application.

hi, i have applied under 0413 ctegory, my application reached novascotia on april 1 , 2010. as there wasnt any point in the checklist for the ielts score thats why i hav not sent the copy of it, i have given ielts test with score 6.5.but still nothing from the office i received...waiting n worrying ...visa office is islamabad.
