Hi All
I have 2 Queries and need URGENT response as i have to send my Docs this week.

1. When initially i sent application to CIO I just sent my fee i.e. CAD$550 and mentioned that my family will not accompany me now i am mentioning that my family will accomapany me. Therefore I am making demand draft for my spouse and kids. Question is somebody told me to make separate DD for wife and separate for each kid. Is this the correct proceedure? secondly I am sending document as per checklist i.e. IMM 7023 (06-2010) do i need to send these DDs with this application or separately to CIO and what other Doc do i need to attach? Pls guide.

2. I had money which was invested in few things, i recenty liquidated all money, open new saving (this week) account in islamic banking and put all money there. is there any impact of sending this bank statement and letter from bank, which ofcourse will show that this is new account?

Look forward from all of you SPECIALLY SENIORS.

thanks in advance.

Hi INFO,
1. you can use 1 DD for your wife and kids together; and what i think you will be contacting only the VO (not CIO) from this point (after getting 1st AOR), the reason i'm thinking this way is that PPR money we have to send to VO not CIO (so why not the mentioned money as well).
2. If you have a property under your name or your and your wife's name only and it's not under mortgage, get it evaluated and send that paper along with your bank statement, and mention it on the 'cover letter' (that would strengthen your case).

Hope this will help
may the Allmighty show you the right path.

Not sure how long they take if you send it by post, i think you can check there website they should have mentioned the time frame. But if you go in person its takes 3hrs to get it done.

Dont bother about it right now... get an A/C balance certificate.. it wont show the dates of deposits or any trxn history... its your current balance, a/c number, a/c title on their letter head......if and if only you need to clarify this than your mother can put it in writing on an affidavit that its part of your share of inheritance or simply a gift and its not a loan...

Hi Arshad, i was really scared when i got there keeping in mind the typical beaurocracy involved when ever an govt. deppt especially when police comes in..the process is real simle.

1- first of all write an application addressed to SSP lahore police for police character certificates. seperate applications for each family member. mention your permanent address as well as current address, cnic, passport numbers.
2- get attested three passport sized photographs for each of the applicant. two from back and 1 from front / get attested pasport copies and CNIC copies of each of the applicant.
3- go to SSP office opposite islamia college civil lines near govt. college on the road that goes to sagian bridge.
4- take the small door on extreme left of the castle like wall of the compound. ask policeman you need character certificates and they will guide you.
5- once you are in the compound after security check.. ask anyone where you need to go for character certificates and they will guide you.
6- once you are in the relevant office you will have to fill in 1 form in english/ 1 in urdu per applicant... attach copies and photographs... them man responsible for forms will give you a reciept...it will have the collection date.
7- couple of policemen will visit your current given address in two or three days so what ever you fill in the form should be known to people in the house. e;g how long you have been living at this address.
8- when you go back on the given date to collect certificates do take your original pasports.

PS: there are no charges...
