Dear Sunny i had sent an email to visa office new delhi with my application details after waiting reply from CIO NS for nearly 4 months. then i was not having any file no. or AOR  from CIO NS. but the VO new delhi replied regarding the status of my file. the subject of replied email of VO contained my file no. when i checked with this file no. on ECAS, then i got the status that CIO  had sent a letter on 2.06.2010. which i had not received till date. As my bank gave me encashed status of my dd on 25.04.2010. having file no. i m going to submit full doc. to VO ND next week. i hope this will clear  ur confusion. best of luck n take care.        cheers

Hi Lubob,

From what I can understand from your message is you have the File # for your application but not yet received your 1st AOR. And based on the File # you are submitting your Full docs to VO (ND). I am not quite sure if you could do that for the following reasons but I may be wrong in my understanding:

1) Your application can be assigned a file # but that does not really mean that it has passed the assessment sucessfully at CIO. (I hope it does pass the assessment).
2) When you submit your full docs you will have to attach a copy of your 1st AOR... which you have not received. The 1st AOR is generally despatched by email unless you have specifically mentioned to be delivered by mail (post). So did you request for a postal delivery of your 1st AOR?

Please ignore my post if I have understood you wrong.

Dear Mitali ! thanks a lot for ur concern regarding my status. i had applied thru a consultant. i had applied in july 2009 for the very first time.my dd encashed on 19.09.2009.that time i didn't received any reply from CIO NS. in march 2010 i applied afresh with another draft which was received by CIO NS on 30.03.2010. my consultant gave reference of the previous application in the new one. in the month of may 2010 my consultant received dd of my previous application for refund by CIO NS. the reason for the refund was non-compliance of second stage i.e 120 days period lapsed. now my consultant assured me that we will attach the communication received from VO ND containing file no. with full doc.s.                                        this was the status of ecas : We received your application for permanent residence on March 30, 2010.
We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on June 2, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.                                                                                                                                                                                                    Moreover VO ND had replied my case specific inquiry with the particular email. if the file was transferred to VO ND then they had replied. if it was n't so then they would have replied that we had no records about ur application.please correct me if i m wrong. once again thanks n take care.

Hello friends,

i am sure you all must be in the best of health. I have received the first AOR and am now preparing my documents to send them to CIO.

I have a confusion regarding the police clearance certificates and have the following queries:

* Is the PCC only required for me (the priciple candidate) or for my spouse as well?
* Do I have to get the PCC for every address where I lived or is it ok if i provide the PCC having address of my current residence?
* My wife lived in Bahawalpur before getting married, so do i need to get a PCC from Bahawalpur as well for her?

Hope you guys will help Smiley

Please note: You don't need Police Certificates for each city. You need it from each country or territory where you have lived for six consecutive months or longer.

Quote from the CIC website (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/intro.asp)

In general, you and everyone in your family who is 18 years of age or over need to obtain a police certificate. You must obtain a police certificate from each country or territory where you have lived for six consecutive months or longer since reaching the age of 18.

The certificate must have been issued no more than three months before you submit your application.

If the original certificate is neither in English nor in French, submit both the certificate and the original copy of a translation prepared by an accredited translator with your application.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
STS

Good day! I'm a little bit confused regarding the  " In Process" status .... Our consultant told us that until now the bank branch where they made payment transaction for our application last April 27) has not given them any information, which simply means that  our payment has not been charged by the CIO.

From what I've understood, only applications that payments have been  already charged by the CIO are considered "In Process" status.  so since we haven't received any confirmation of our dd from the bank, therefore our application is NOT yet "in process"  though we submitted it last week of April.

My concern in this case is that, since our application has not been assessed and still not in the "In Process" status the C.I.O might  INCLUDE our application  in their new rules (June26) since it's already September.

Anybody who can give us further explanation regarding our concern?

   Thank you !

Dear Azneita,

Your application is still considered under the pre June rules regardless of the time we are in now. There is something causing the delay we cannot seem to phantom. CIO is not keeping us posted on the situation of things in there office thereby keeping us in the dark. I will urge you to have more patience. Let us see what happens towards the end of this Month. If others have been receiving AOR now that is when you would have cause to worry but as it is right now no one has been given AOR

Hi Ritz,

I quote my answer of 1st Sept to you as follows:

I do not understand why would send your application to HRSDC? If you have you applied for Permanent Residency under federal skilled category then you should be sending your application to CIO ,Sydney.

Hi Forum:
Just wanted to share with you the following:
After not getting a second AOR in 1.5 months from buffalo visa office, I sent them a letter and they replied next day saying that it can take upto 30 weeks to issue a second AOR - that's a whole 7 months !!!!! (similar time period needed from the time of first application to NS and issuance of final Visa from Delhi office in case of many of my friends who applied last year to NS then Delhi).
For your information, I have attached below a copy of e-mail I sent them followed by the reply they sent:
My e-mail:
Dear Citizenship and Immigration Canada Authority:
As instructed in the letter issued by the central intake office in Sydney on July 14, 2010, I had submitted my full documents which was delivered to your office (as per postal office information) on July 26, 2010. I have not heard anything since then. I would highly appreciate if you could kindly let me know if my application is received (or started processing on) by you as I will have to resend the documents if those are not received by you by the 120 days deadline.
Thanking you
Sincerely,

Buffalo's reply:
Thank you for your message.
Permanent resident applications are created in our database and acknowledgement of receiptletters are sent to the applicant within 30 weeks of receipt. Any application submitted without the required documents and information will be returned to the applicant.

Hi 13042010,

Thanks a lot for your post. This will help all of us to get the better idea of the time line. Can you please update your overall time-lines. (If you don't mind)

I think Buffalo office is the slowest in the world. All we can do is wait, wait, wait and wait

I submitted all of my documents to Buffalo on 13th Aug and now waiting for my second AOR. I was having the option of Delhi or Buffalo but I opted for Buffalo and I guess I made incorrect choice.

And now transferring file from Buffalo to Delhi can prolong my wait even longer. This wait sucksssssssss

Good Luck to you and thanks again for the information you provided.

Best,

Hi Mitali, why dont u update list on AOR received basis instead of CC charged or DD encashed basis? because everyone is gewtting his CC charged but as a fact AOR issuance is the most important thing

Hi Arshad,

The current list is split in two parts :

1) Applicants who are sending their full docs to their respective VO. The list is again subdivided acording to different VO.
2) Applicants who still are awaiting their CC/ DD or 1st AOR (The lowest portion of the list).

90 candidates in the April thread have already received their 1st AOR and that list is on page 283 (This info is mentioned on the curent list).

Hope that answers your request.
