It's simple.

You submit your application to CIO along with your police certificates - then if the time is up - you will submit refreshed (new) police certificates to the visa office.  Grin

My Friend, First of all my application is already with CIO and i gathered all my docs including the PCC but due to delay in CIO, the PCCs seem to be expire....may be the situation is simple for you to get the new PCC but not for everyone else...and the question here is not simply "Time is up" but actually the concern is what is that time period of validity for PCC....

Saki, Mitali, All Seniors..... more help needed regarding PCC:

a lot more confusion now...just check:

Old EG7 Guide (Pre June 26, 2010) :

Hi Navali,

What my understanding is that we come under old rules and for us our PCC should not me older than 3 months at the time of submitting application to CIC, and the lock in date is when CIC has received our application. So for me if its not older than 3 months its valid to submit.

Cheers

Hi

Submit to CIO not visa office, as we come under the old rules and in old rules it says that PCC not to be 3 months older at the time of submitting application to CIO.

@ Aznieta, sunnysport, sadika and Sachin and everybody who's wondering about the delay in processing of applications:

Its just my thought that the delay in processing maybe due to the fact that this is high season for Student visas and maybe the Immigration is handling them as priority as the academic session would begin in September.

Once they are out of the way then CIC can deal with applications faster.

hi, i do think the same as well. but was wondering that given that the colleges start in first week of sept. or amy be second the visa must be much before ( i mean a couple of weeeks) as they have to make preperations to leave if suppose i have to leave for canada and joining course say 7 of sept, will not wait till that day and buying a ticket that late will be costly and so much prerations without proper time will be difficult thats why was getting confused. moreover i am not sure the officials of the two departments are the saame or not . well will be clear in a couple of weeks

Dear SAKI
My transcripts of matric and intermediate were in Urdu issued in back dates when i had passes these disciplines. I have submitted the notarized translation of the transcripts with originals.
1. Do they require the transcripts with current date?
2. Have i done correct?

I ask so because these days i am checking meticulously my docs as my mind is trying to find out the delay of the 2nd OR?

Hi Hinna,

You have done correct and dont worry the delay in the AOR could be from London office as they are bz thats why maybe, dont worry a new week is starting next week so hopefully you will get your AOR next week.

Let's keep on praying and hoping that this is just a minor "delay" due to the academic session this coming september.  Smiley  our consultancy in manila told us that our application was mailed April 27 NOC code 4121... we have not received any letter from the CIO from the time our application was mailed. Maybe what we can do for now is to contact again our consultancy in manila and ask for our Receipt Number (IMM 5401) so we can check our status online..  And hopefully by this time we can already  include our name & application details on this thread.  thank you so much.... God bless us all

Hi Rami,

On average applicants are receiving 2nd AOR in 1.5 to 2 months time and its an Acknowledgment that they have received your documents.

2 AOR=means when you get acknowledgment of receipt from the visa office catering to your country where you have sent your full documents .

Hi Azneita,

Mitali has given some explanation on the same but even I do not think that the delay is because of student Visa backlog, since the student visa season should be over by now, also the student visa is mainly handled by the local high commissions at the home country.

As per the CIC website it says as below :-

Skilled Worker applications received after November 28, 2008 (Federal)
July 1, 2009 to June 30, 2010

NOTE: Processing times for Federal Skilled Worker applications received on or after June 26, 2010, are not yet available. For applications sent before June 26, 2010, the Centralized Intake Office in Sydney, Nova Scotia, is currently working on applications received up to June 25, 2010.
