Hi Tukku,

Once you received your AOR then you have 120 days to submit full documents to your visa office, there is Permanent Residence Fee which you can pay either at the time of submitting the docs or when they ask you for the medicals. Further if there is any change in your status since submitting your docs to CIC for e.g got married or new born baby then you will have to pay there fees as well to add them in the application.

Cheers

Hi Tukku,

It really depends on the visa office you are applying, like for London it takes about 2-3 months to get 2nd AOR and then almost the sametime to get it "in-process" whereas as New Delhi and Manila they are very quick you get your 2nd AOR in 10-15 days and then status changed to "in-process" in 1 month or so.

But total time period to get visa stamped is between 6 - 12 months for all offices but some have more 12-18 months due to so many applications.

Cheers

Hi,

I am not exactly sure about the timelines for buffalo but i have heard thats its very slow just like London, maybe you can check the timelines of the applicant in the Buffalo visa office thread, 6-12months is from the time your submit your full docs until visa is stamped, so its total time period including all the stages "in-process",medicals, passport request and visa stamped.

Further more, below is the link to the CIC website which shows the average processing time for all the visa offices. For buffalo its says

30% cases done in 7 months, 50% cases done in 12 months, 70% done in 14 months and 80% done in 15 months. So you can see this visa offices takes more time than others.

I put my all documents in four files tagged with coloured slips (containing the details of the docs the file has in)....to facilitate the Visa officer.
was it good?

Hi Hinna,

It is good enough as it will be easier for visa officer to get the document he/she needs. And remember its not going to become a reason of your refusal as long as you sent all the required documents you are fine.

Hi,

They say experience letter should not be more than 3 months old at the time of submitting full docs, but for you i think it will be fine as it will just be a few days over three months.

cheers
Saki

so it will be 4 months and few days when my documents will reach to Visa office.will there be any problem ? either they can refuse my application because of this ?
