Hello all: Finally, I am glad to announce that my DD was encashed on 28 JUL 2010. A question: Does this imply that CIC has approved my application and the next step is for me to file my dox with ND after I receive the AOR? Can there still be some surprises on the way?
Thanks.
Hi, Thats a good news, yes still there can be surprises we have seen few applicants whose CC was charged but application was returned. You should receive your AOR early next week as its taking 2 weeks average time these days. Cheers SAki

Saki, Thanks a lot. So, what is the process? This is what I know. Request you to validate my understanding. Fill up forms -> Send to NS -> Get AOR -> Send all dox to VO -> Get another AOR -> Wait for Medical request -> Medical check-up -> Submit med report -> Wait for i/v request -> Appear for i/v -> Wait for passport req -> Submit passport -> Wait for stamped passport to arrive -> Travel. Thanks in advance. Hi,

Your understanding about the process is right except interview setup, if interview is not waived it comes before medical request and if it is waived it will be written in the medical request that your interview is waived and send us the medicals. Cheers Saki

Hi Chander, Number of photos depends on your visa office (ranges from 4 to 6 to each applicant). all the photos details can be found in your visa office form instructions.

Hi Saki/Mitali,
Today i went to the bank , they issued me a small piece of paper called Blanace certificate and has the name of the bank. The bank certify that my balance is XX SAR as at the closing of 11 Aug 2010, signed and stamped but with no details regarding the person who signed, also fields of my name and balance was filled by handwriting. they told me that they used to issue it like that and no other forms.
I also issued a 6 month bank statement stamped)
Do you think that both of them together will be ok or the details of person signed should be mentioned ?

Hi, The bank stamp is more than enough, its ok not to have a name of the person. You are showing 6 months statement as well which is more than enough so dont worry. Cheers Saki

Hi Hinna, As far as my knowlege is visa office does not look at the specific band they check the overall score out of 16 and you have a very good score i dont think they can object on this. Cheers Saki

Hi Hinna, IELTS serves two purpose, first-Proof of your English proficiency and secondly -for the applicants to gain points. The highest score (New rule, people who took their exam post 26th June) of 4 points for R,W,S is at 6.5 and for L it has been raised to 7.5. The bands are granted individually and the bands that you have will fetch you 14 points. Mitali
