I was just reading the Visa office instructions for Buffalo. It states:

College or university documents: the graduation degree, diploma, or certificate issued by the college or university; - Do we need to send the original degree? or can we submit a notarized copy?

Transcripts: original transcripts of all courses taken must be submitted in university or college sealed envelopes; - I have my transcripts stamped and sealed in my the university. But since here it says original - will the stamped and sealed transcript work? I am in the US and and requested my family to attain my stamped and sealed transcript from Delhi university. The university guys printed a copy of the original transcript and stamped and sealed it. Will that work? Please let me know.

Another interesting news. CIO Processing applications now till 17th May.

And CCs of only 03 people of 3rd May have been charged and no further news, complete silence...its very strange....while over the phone they are saying processing on 28th April is in progress.

some more questions plz....

1- How much is the difference in days when ur application arrives at CIO (as per Courier - FedEx tracking) and actual entry in CIO registers. for example if FedEx says application delivered on 25th april, when will it be actually in the CIO list?

2- If someone is claiming points for relatives in Canada, those relatives should be of principal applicant OR can also be of spouse (if spouse is also included in the application for immigration)

Hi Navali,

1) Generally the next day it is recd at CIO (Fedex would say 25th and actually would be in system on 26). I have seen 2day gap as well. And if it on a weekend then 3 days.
2) If spouse is included in application, points for blood relation can be claimed.

Check the checklist of your VO. It is different for respective VO. It will be written on the top as "Do not send originals unless otherwise stated. Send notarised photocopy of all documents except PCC, which must be originals."

He will be fine as long as he can show the minimum requirement of POF. It is always possible to spend money by the time you send your full application to CHC. But as a standard rule people should keep this money aside till the visa is stamped as they may be asked for proof when they land.

Hi sb,

1) If you check the checklist of Buffalo, it is clearly mentioned that "Do not send originals unless otherwise stated". So if they want Originals they will mention it at the specific place where the requirement is mentioned.

2) The University people take a copy of transcripts from their records, stamp it and then seal it in an envelope. You are not supposed to open this envelope...it automatically becomes invalid if opened.

My university stamped transcripts are sealed but can they serve as original or do I still need to supplement my originals with the university sealed transcripts?

Just sending the sealed university transcripts should be good??
