well, thanku so much for clarifying me on that.i applied on 26 of may by regular mail. do you think it reached before 26th or is there anyway i can ask 'em about my application ?Secondly, i also want to know is there any other category in which 4131 can apply after 26th june.

Hi, One month is normally enought to get mail from one country to another so your application would have reached there before 26th June. You can only ask them once they have open your package then they can tell you the status of the application and when it was received. At the moment they are looking at the April end applications so if you ring them after 3-4 weeks then they will be able to give you an answer on your application. As 4131 is removed there is no other way you can apply with the same proffession under any other NOC as they dont need leturers/teachers anymore. Cheers Saki |

Hello evryone,
This forum is amazing , I find almost all of the answers to my queries even without posting the questions.
Iam still waiting just to see my DD encashed by CIO or not, Like I said ,My wife's application was received by CIO on 26th april.Can I call on my wife's behalf to know the status. Or she herself needs to call as she is the primary applicant. Please advice

Hi Sameer,
Yes, ofcourse... you should wait to get your degree as it is more important to show your upgraded qualification instead of sending your application sooner. And moreover you will still be within the cutoff 120d limit. You would also prove to the VO that you can multitask which is the buzz word here.
Also mention in your cover letter in subtle words that you were awarded your MCS degree while you worked.
Secondly, dont ever relax on the iELTS exam which you are scheduled to write. Write the test as if that is that your lifeline. You can not let your guard down just because you got an additional degree and some points. You never know how your application will be judged and on what basis.
Get the BEST scores for IELTS... all the Best to you. Go for it.

Hi, It will be better that your wife ring them as she is the primary applicant but you can give it a go as you are on the application as well. If they say that they can only tell your wife about it then just put your wife on the phone simple  Cheers saki |

Hi All
I called CIO yesterday and provided the lady with my Name and DOB. She told me that they do not have any info related to my case processing and it will take another 10 weeks to get a response. (Standard Reply). However she told me that their office is processing cases of 23 April 2010, therefore it would be a good idea to contact them again after a week.
The lady was very polite and helpfull.

+1613-944-4000 options; 1, 2, 1, 2, 0, hold for about 8-12 mins, do not press any button if you dont have any information regarding the file number, client I.D and Receipt number etc.. it will automatically divert ur call to an agent..
