Hi Mitali,

thanks for your prompt support.

3. Are they proof of your Birth date? Then yes, you are fine.
Both as proof of birth as well as educational docs, have 02 copies.

Regards

You are all set.....you have done an incredible job to collect your documents.

Best of luck, Navali.

While reading the responses / replies from kind hearted people in this forum like Mitali,Saki, and others... it really touched my heart, that there are good and concerned people who really take effort to help and support those who are in need (like me) though they haven't met them... I really salute you all ! I know God  has something best for all of you which you really deserve of. May all those who experienced your full support and help may one way or another pass on the "legacy" that you've shared to everyone.. Good luck to all!

Birth Certificate Related Query:

Statement from Checklist:
A birth certificate is normally acceptable if registration was made shortly after the birth.

My Query:
I have a birth certificate which was registered shortly after my birth however now I have seen some spelling mistakes in it and I talked to cantonment board they people are saying they can issue me a new birth certificate but the issuance date will be of present. So will it make any kind of negative impact?

Hi azneita,

You know there is a saying that you can clap with two hands. So you are a nice person too to recognize the 'goodness' of others. I appreciate your openness to appreciate... I am sure so will Saki and all others on this Forum.

Best of luck

Hi Info,

The recent issuance date on your Birth certificate will have no negative impact. Rather it will be positive as you are correcting it. Please keep a (may be two) notarised copy of the earlier Birth certificate... just in case. You can attach a copy of your request form (to correct the spellings) and a copy of your earlier Birth certificate (Notarized) along with your full documents.

Hi Everyone!

I wish to ask the experts on Proof of Funds.  My husband has some sort of savings in the Company he is working at right now.  They have a Savings and Loans Association which is a Cooperative that gets deposit from the the employees of the Company and allow them to borrow with interest.  My husband has already saved a substantial amount of money in this Association which he can only withdraw once he resigns or retire from such Company.  Can this savings be allowed as Proof?  Apart from the certification, is there other way to prove this?  Should the certification be notarized?  Almost half of our required funds is answerable by this deposit.  I hope the Visa office will allow it.  What do you think?

Thanks thanks so much! Wink   I really appreciate all your help!  This is a great forum! Love it!

Hi Smile,

This is my logic and opinion. If you can make a call to your respective visa office that would be great.

This 'saving' belongs to your husband. Now we have to prove that he can withdraw this money as and when he requires and there is no liability attached to it.

1. Can this association provide a letter to mention that the XX amount of money in the account belongs to your husband saved from his earnings and is free from any liability like loans etc?
2. Also the letter should mention that your husband can withdraw the money once he resigns/retire from the company. If yes, then get the letter on Company pad.
3. Attach this evidence with you full documents and mention in your cover letter that he plans to resign when his application for PR is approved and then he will avail the XX amount of money. Convert the amount in the savings account in Canadian dollars for easy analysis by VO. Also mention that you did the conversion with the help of currency converter on the CIC website on XX date.

There is indeed a currency converter for this purpose.
4. Lastly, your POF will be checked at port of entry and hopefully you will be able to withdraw the money from the Association or have saved enough by then.

Caution: When you indeed withdraw your money from the association then there will be a deposit of a large amount of money in your account. Be prepared with all the documents to prove that the money is yours and how it was deposited in your account.

This is just my opinion.... I have no evidence that this could work.

Hi,

Get a new one with correct spelling and when you send it attach and explanation statement with it explaining why you got the new one and also attach the old one as well which has spelling mistakes. Dont worry its not going to make any negative impact.

Dear Seniors,

I have sent by documents on the 2nd of February 2010 for the 1st time to the below address :

Citizenship & Immigration Canada
Federal Skilled Worker
Centralized Intake Office
196 George Street
Sydney, NS
B1P 1J3
Canada

and it was returned to me back 1sr of April 2010 due to a missing document . Then i resend back the file on the 15th of April ,but till date i didn't recieve any reply . When i checked for the delay i found that the courier company instead of delivering the docs to B1P 1J3 they deliver it to B1P 1J1.

Is this a wrong address ?

Also ,when i checked with the courier company they said that this is the correct address, and they told me that the documents were delivered to LAHEY CITIZENSHIP & IMMIGRATION.

Again is this a correct address .

Bear in mind also that i checked for the bank draft , and the money is still there no one withdraw the amont

Please advise.

Hi

I am not sure because LAHEY i think does not come in the Immigration name, sometimes company do get a wrong address but they deliver it to the right address by looking at the name of the Company, post codes does matter but if its wrong they still be able to deliver it on the correct address. The best thing for you is to ring CIC if they have received your application they will be able to tell you the client number. On page 82 of this thread i have given the contact details so try calling them.
