I send my application last April 20, 2010 to Nova Scotia without IELTS result. Until now there is no reply from them and I am worried... should I resubmit my application with IELTS results? Is my application affected with the June 26, 2010 new rules? please help!

*Post 26th applicants Requirement is to provide IELTS along with application to CIO.
*Only principal applicant need to give IELTS test.
*Earlier it helps for english speaking country citizens but now a days every body who is appying needs to go thru IELTS. This rule is not for the old applicant(before 26th June, 2010 applicants)

Thanks for that, it was just on the new visa specific 'documents to include' it has the IELTS box to tick but makes no mention of the 'pre June 26th' crowd of which i think i fall under as they received my application on April 16th. It just looks as if when you have to send the full package you have to include it, if so i just wanted to get it sorted now rather than find out when we get the letter! |

hi,
saki and all seniors i need your help. my sister's application has been returned. it states that:
YOUR APPLICATION DOES NOT MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF SECTION 10 OF THE IPPR BECAUSE:
(THE ONE THAT HAS A CHECK) SEE APPENDIX C OR D.
I THINK SHE HAS THE WRONG VISA OFFICE. SHE PUT NS AS THE VISA OFFICE. Her NOC is 4131, can she still reapply? Please help!

What is in Appendix C or D that you mentioned as the reason for the rejection of your sister's application? I am also using 4131 as my NOC.

At CIO, they check application for completeness and then a file is created. Since, the input for Visa office was wrong the file could not created and hence the application was rejected. Unfortunately, if she has to apply she will fall under the new rules. Is there any other way she could find her skills in the new list? Mitali |

Hi Karen, 1.Did you have a tracking number for the package or did you send by normal mail? 2.No, you dont have to re-submit with IELTS results. 3.Your application will not be affected by the new rules because I am sure your package must have been received by CIO. 4. You can check the status of your application by calling them. Please refer to pg82 of this thread and check Saki's response on how to call CIO. Mitali |
