The marriage certificates indicate that they have the same father and mother.  The names of the parents are not mere witnesses but part of the form itself.  The marriage certificate actually details both my the husband's and wife;s names, residences, birthdates, fathers name, mothers name, citizenship of parents. Then a certification of marriage and signatures of the couple and witnesses at the bottom. 

Oh my! It will be impossible for us to secure the birth certificates within the 120 day (now, only 93 days) period to submit the documents. Their birth certificates bear mistakes in their names so we need to reconstitute them.

I don't understand the last part of your post. Why do you need Birth certificates now when you are producing the MC?

If you need to produce a birth certificate with the corrected Names then you can prepare an Affidavit by a lawyer to represent the mistakes and corrections which can be done pretty fast, I believe.

Hello all,

I have employment contract but they are not notarized.  I try to secure notarized copy from my employer but the copies they have are not notarized too.  We plan to send an explanation letter to explain the scenario.  Do you have any advice.

Hi abilex,

You have to get your employment contract notarized by a person who has the power to notarize documents like a "Notary public". Notary public are people generally associated with Law like a Lawyer or a Barrister. Sometimes doctors also have the power to notarize. The Notary public will check your 'Original ' contract and put his seal on the 'copy of the employment contract' which would mean that the document that you are sending is 'Authentic'. These people charge a fee for their services.

Your employer will not keep a copy of your "Notarized contract".

Today i received an email from CIC , MY NOC Code was 0213 and i wrote subcode 2147  , they are saying that 2147 is not in the NOC list , can any one help me or guide me to carify this to CIC that NOC 2147 is the subcode of 0213 , or how can i appeal against this ...........................plzpzlzpzlzl help me to fix this

The two receipt numbers mentioned in above 2 points are different. I am sure that I have not given any credit card details so 2nd point doesn't make sense !! Any idea why 2 receipt numbers ?

Dear Canad PR90,

If you paid by DD then only 1st point is checked (X) and they had given you a payment receipt number in the 1st point. So it will help you to eliminate all of your confusion.

Hi canadaPR90,

Check the DD date with your AOR receipt ,if it is the same. Is there a DD # that you could cross check?
You obviously did not provide IMM5620, so no question of Charging your CC. An obvious mistake.

I would sugget to give a call to CIC to confirm the mistake with them.

Hi Jamy,

Its not necessary to get your certificates ( transcritps especially) in the sealed envelope. But what you will need to do is get your pakistani transcripts and degree like bachelors and masters atteste from HEC. I heard matric and 12th grade certificates are enough to confirm the father name if you dont have birth certificate.

Hi Mitali,

Princemainali is not a 30th April applicants, what happened here is that he did not gave me the date when his application was received by CIC only the date he sent was given and when i delete the coloumn of "application sent date" his date is deleted so i just put him in the bottom of the list.

Hi Jamy,

1. What documents and the manner they need to be send to VO will be mentioned in the Checklist specific for your VO office.
2. Your Educational transcripts need to be sent in a University sealed envelope. But I read somewhere that notarized copy of the transcripts will work as well.
3. If you dont have a birth certificate then mention in a cover letter why you do not have it. And yes Passport copy and ID will work as an alternative. Do you have grade 10 passing out certificate? The birth date is generally mentioned in there. But this is for Indian citizen... I am sorry I do not know about Pakistan.
