Quick question-For showing work experience in 0213 category employer gave letter as:

While employed with us he used following skills:
1>responsibility 1
2>responsibility 2
3>responsibility 3
 
insteading of using the WORD RESPONSIBILITY they used SKILLS.Is that ok?

Hi tukku,

As you can understand it is very important to use correct words in the reference letter. For you it is even more important since your NOC is not there in the new list.

There is s difference between skills and responsibilities. You may have tons of skills and tons of responsibilities but have you actually used them while you worked. This is the crucial thing the VO is looking for in the reference letters.

If you can request your employer to tailor your reference letter which would indicate that you had these (x) skills and you appropriately used them while you successfully accomplished your work duties and responsibilities, then that would be perfect.

Would you please help me with my questions here on proof of relationship with a Canadian.  

Can I establish the relationship of my husband's(the principal) father (or my father-in-law) and his uncle who is in Canada by marriage certificates?  The marriage certificates include the names of their parents.  I plan to draw a family tree to help the Immigration Officer to visualize the relations.  

Also, is it true that I need to show proof that the Canadian or permanent resident relative is residing in Canada?  I plan to just submit a lease agreement or electric bill.  Will those do?

friends some good news on my side....i got information from bank that my DD enchased on 5th of july. but they were processing april 15th applicants and my application reached on 21st april.

 i wanted to double check with bank but feel awkward. i think the information from bank is true and they start to process our application quick.

Does the marriage certificate of your father-in -law and his brother mention that they are the parents (like mother and father) of your FIL and uncle or are the names just as witness? As you know that the required document is Birth certificates as proof but I  think they might accept MC if there is specific mention as "Mother and Father".

Yes, it is important to show "physical presence" in Canada. Add the information regarding PR or Citizenship status in addition to what you have already acquired.

Hello All,

I have also received AOR today on email around 5 hrs ago. Checked email just now.  My Application received date showing on CIC site is 16th April. I have sent DD only but the below content is confusing in the email I received. However when I called yesterday on 16139444000, I was told that it would take 10 weeks i.e. September 1st week to hear the response. So it seems no one can predict anything in the process !

X         This correspondence also acknowledges receipt of your Fee Payment Form (Imm5620) authorizing CIC to take payment of processing fees using the credit card details provided. Please be informed that we processed a payment of XXXX  Canadian dollars on this credit card (ending in ABCD). Your receipt number is XXXXXXXX. The two receipt numbers mentioned in above 2 points are different. I am sure that I have not given any credit card details so 2nd point doesn't make sense !! Any idea why 2 receipt numbers ?
