my application was send to cio on 29 march but they received on 29 april . but confusion is taht my category 0213 is no more. as my application was received on 29 April where as it was sent on 29 march i didnt send my IELTS REPORT. NOW WILL IT EFFECT MY APPLICATION .

PLEASE ANSWER AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

since your application was received on April 29, you are not affected at all.  Only those applications received on or after July26 will be affected.

Hi seema1979,

No, it will not affect your applications.

All applications recd after 26th June will be affected. Are you planning on witing the IELTS exam...if Yes,then try to gt as much as marks possible. And if, No, then prepare yourself for the test because at this stage you can not risk your application, especially since your NOC code is off the list. To get a safe assessment with IELTS test is a safe bet for all applicants before the JUne 26th date.

Dear Seniors,

I have got AOR on June 24 and preparing full documents for Singapore office.
Do the visa officer may reject application for medium IELTS score (7.0, 6.0, 6.0, 6.0) ?
I gave that IELTS score 6 months early for a different reason without any sort of preparation.
Will it be better to reappear for IETLS for more better score or it will not add any value except making a month more delay to send full docs. My points claiming areas were Age,Education, IELTS, Spouse Education & 4 year+ work experience.

If with your current IELTS score,you are at the 67 or more than 67 pass mark, then you are ok.

No, IELTS is not mandatory. If visa officer is satisfied with the letter indicating your english proficiency, he/she may grant you an approval. However, if the visa officer is not satisfied, applicaiton will be rejected righaway without asking to provide IELTS and you have to start from zero again.
So, it is best to take the IELTS test to avoid rejection now but this does not mean it is MANDATORY. Police clearance is mandatory.

Few days ago i found in another thread that VO of singapore office write e letter to an applicant that his IELTS score is not up to standard although he scored 69
After reading that post i am little bit worried.

I called just dialed 00-1-613-9444-000  121210
A lady attended my call and ask me abt my status in Canada I told he I am from overseas.
She ask me my surname , my family name, DOB and finaly replied that "you file has not been opned","We have status of 14th April 2010 application status".

My application recieved date is 19th april 2010.I dont know what they will do with me

Dear- they must have started April 19 application as my credit card was charged, mine was received by CIO on 19 april too. Be optimistic, your cc charge/AOR should be on the way.

Call them first to find out if they only do FBI, PCC or both.

Hi Prince,

Yes, that was indeed a very unfortunate case. But the applicant was under the NOC 4131 which means that he has to perform teaching activities. So with such low score on IELTS , the officer probably doubted his ability to perform his job with full satisfaction and thus evaluated him accordingly. Your case is different.... you already have the pass mark and you are not teaching.

Having said that, it is still your desicion to better your IELTS score, provided you have time. Be careful with all your supporting documents that you will be sending to VO , a seemingly tiny mistake or overlook might cost a lot.

Recheck,recheck all your docs before you send them.

Hi Prince,

Just to add some more information...

I hope you are aware that even if you score 67 or more, you still have to submit a letter to prove your proficiency in English by writing a letter to VO explaning how well and since when you have been reading,writing and communicating in English, supported with your documents from school, University or your workplace.

If you have a very high IELTS score then the VO has to approve your application (if it is only the question of Proficiency in English ).
