Hi All,
Received the 2nd AOR (possibly that is what it is) today by post. It is dated Nov 15th but post is recvd only today at Bangalore. It has come by ordinary post in a sealed cover. Following are the contents of the letter:
Date: November 15,2010
UCI: xxxxxxxx Application: Exxxxxxxxx
Dear xxxxxxxxx,
This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada which was received at this office on 04/08/2010.
We have created a file with the file number pasted above. FOR CPC-S CASES: Please note that this file number is different than the one that was assigned to you by the Case Processing Centre in Sydnet, Nova Scotia, Canada. You must qoute this file number in any future correspondence. IF FEED COLLECTED AT MISSION: A receipt for the same will be sent soon.
Before your application can be placed in processing, a determination will be made as to whether or not you are eligible for processing. IF your application is not eligible for processing, you will receive a letter informing you of the reasons for the decision as well as a refund.
Processing Time Applications for permanent residence in Canada in the category that you have applied to, require an average of 8 months to process at this office. If you have not received any instructions from this office 3 months after you submitted your full application, you are requested to contact this office directly.
Interview .................. ........................ .............................
There is no file number except the UCI number (8 digits - no alphabets) and the Application number (alphanumeric - one Alphabet and remaining 9 numbers). Possibly we have to consider the UCI number as the new file number. I tried to check the eCAS using this number and it was showing the same status as earlier - "..CIO Review complete..."
We have been eagerly waiting for this and now we are very very happy receiving it. Now fingers crossed for the next update...
Good Luck to all that are waiting for their 2nd AOR!!!
Thanks -RSK

Hello rana, I'm from Bangladesh too and April applicant. I sent my full documents in October and I received my 2nd AOR on November 22
Hi, I showed CAD 20,500 in Bank solvency certificate for 3 members family. Now my question is " is it mandatory to keep fund idle in that bank account until my case gets finalized on the plea that investigation of fund by the VO (Singapore) may be done at any point of time by local BD Office?" Please share your comment.

Hi Yes you will need to maintain the minimum amount in your account until visa is stamped as they may ask you for the 6 months statemetns again at the time of medicals. Cheers SAki

Dear andamanhunk, what is mean by this message?
I think that was my 2nd AOR. Thats why I posted that message. I believe everyone else is receiving the 2nd AOR the same way. If anyone is receiving them in a diff method or description pls do let me know here. Also, as I mentioned in my post here, do everyone receive their 2nd AOR in the same format or diff one? The new file number etc? are they the same? -RSK

Hi Ansamanhunk, I didn't find any UCI number in my 2nd AOR. Mine was like Dated: XXXX New File number: EXXXXXXXXX (BXXXXXXXXX) Dear applicant, Then as it is. ............... But when I put my new file number to check e-cas It said that we are unable to find information that you put. I don't know what it means.

@ andamanhunk- I got an identical letter as what u had got and presume it to be the 2nd AOR..and i think UIC number is going to be the client id number to be quoted in the future for status updates..
@ Classical-Beats - Probably your 2nd AOR wordings are different because your VO is Singapore while ours is New Delhi. Just my take on it, others who got their 2nd AOR from ND or Singapore VO can express their views...
Regards

Hi Classic Beat, Even for me the new number - the Application # Exxxxxxxxx (E followed by 9 digits - first 5 being 0's), is not working to check the e-CAS, whatever options you select from the list. But with the UCI number I could check the status by selecting the option of Client ID number. It's just showing the same as with the old File Number. And, as of now, the status is just the same - "CIO review complete..." I am not sure with what Alphabet the new file number starts, or what the series will be in the 2nd AOR. IF someone can update/clarify on this it would be helpful. -RSK

No Classic! The UCI number is purely numeric and is of 8 digits. Also, under the UCI number and the Application number there is a bar code each, possibly for their own identification. - RSK
