For applicants whose applications reached to CIO before 26th June, they fall under old rules. As per old rules, your PCC should be issued within 03 months period from the date of your application submission to CIO.
For Example if Your application reached CIO on 1st May 2010, the PCC should NOT be issued before 1st Feb 2010.
However, the only issue is many PCC (from Pakistan, India, FBI) dont mention any expiry date. However PCC from UAE (Dubai, Abu Dhabi) mention an expirt date of 03 months.
Saki / Mitali / Seniors please help us on this particulary about UAE PCCs. If some PCC specifically mention expiry date and that date comes before submitting full docs to VO, should we get new or still they are okay?
Regards

Plz accept my apologies. here s what you should do as Mitali also adviced.
1- Submit copies of forms u initially sent to CIO. 2- Fill up new forms since you will ve to mention new dates (for the time your app was in process at CIO) for your adresses and work experience.
Thats what i ll do. and thanks since i skipped the part related to CIO copies.
As in London VO guide, it is mentioned that send the photocopies of the forms that u sent to CIO.....then why should we fill and send the new forms as well? Couldn't understand.... What i understood is...if there is any change in work, address etc then also fill new forms, but if there is no change since ur application is in CIO then i think no need.... Right ? ? ?

Saki / Mitali / Seniors,
I have 01 more question.
While filling my initial application forms, for my spouse work experience, In the date columns i filled both "FROM" and "TO" dates for her current job as well because I was not sure what to write in "TO" box for current job so i put the same date as was mentioned with signatures.
While sending docs VO, should I explain this in cover letter that she is still in the same job and we put the date previously to avoid it leaving that as blank. Or should I also fill a new Form as well for that along with cover letter.
Please guide.
thanx

Hi Navali, If the PCC specifically mention an expiry date then you will have to provide a new one because for obvious reasons expired PCC's will not be accepted. CIC website requests applicants to do the research for "Time" required to acquire a PCC from their respective countries. The burden is on the applicants to be able to get a valid PCC when they send their full docs to VO. The issue does not end here.... if the validity of your PCC expires while "Processing your application" then you might be requested to get another PCC. So just be sure that you are sending a valid PCC to VO and wait patiently for VO's verdict. There is not much you can do about it. Mitali

Hi Navali, Yes, it will be better to clarify the "dates" because if you have put a "From and To date" then that would mean that she has worked until that date which is not true as she is still continuing her employment. Mitali

Hi Navali, If your spouse is still working that job , then you should fill TO : PRESENT instead of mention any date, this will deliver the message that your spouse is still on that job at the date of signing the form. Good Luck Moataz

Dear Mitali, I think no need to submit new forms. If there in no new update in the case of applicant information. As it's clearly mentioned in the Latest updated London VISA office instruction that : Mailing your application If you are applying as a ... Federal skilled worker on or after June 26, 2010,
Then you must ...mail to the CIO in Sydney, Nova Scotia:
•your complete application, and •supporting documents required in this checklist.
Note: After submitting your application, do not send any additional documents unless you are requested to do so.
Refer to the "Mail the application" section of the Guide for Skilled Worker Applicants.
Federal skilled worker before June 26, 2010,
mail to the visa office the:
•photocopies of the forms you submitted to the CIO, and •supporting documents required in this checklist, within the 120 day deadline set out by the CIO. Refer to the instructions for Mailing to the Visa Office below.I have compared new forms and old forms there in only two changes in new forms. 1 changes in the Application for permanent residence-Im0008egen 1 check box of Economic class is removed. Background declaration form and additional family remain same 1 changes in the Economic Classes-imm0008-3e Order of preference So I believe that we must follow London visa office instruction if there isn't any update in the applicant case then we need to send photocopies of old forms which we submitted at CIO. Hope other seniors would like to give their advise.

Hi friend4u,
If you have changes since you application was mailed to CIO, then you are to fill up only those forms that would reflect the changes. And also mention that new additions/changes in your cover letter. Send the photocopy of the old forms that had all the informations.
I feel only the forms that you would add with new information needs to be signed and dated current and the set of forms that was mailed to CIO should remain with the past date. As mentioned we are supposed to send a photocopy of those forms.
Please wait for more opinions on this.
Mitali
Dear Mitali, I think no need to submit new forms. If there in no new update in the case of applicant information. As it's clearly mentioned in the Latest updated London VISA office instruction that : Hi Friend4u, I agree... the above was my response to your querry earlier. Mitali

Hi Arshad,
A million dollar question......
Well, the concoction maybe many reasons...vacation for sure.. which has slowed down the process (there has to be someone in the office to take care of minimal stuff!!!), employees being trained with new rules and probably also being trained on how to weed out old applicants on the pretext of small mistakes, adjustments and reshuffling of employees for post 26th Jun applicants, student visas, off loading backlog applicants and of course to top it off with a cherry is our inability to pin point the exact reason.
Of all the reasons.....I think it is the offloading of the backlog applicants that has taken priority over the current applicants.....because they have been sitting on their applications for a long time now. I also observed on the Forum that many old applicants have received their visas.....well, this is just my understanding.
You never know... people might see a flood of AORs and CC charged in the coming weeks.
Best of luck and I pray for all.
