Hi Saki/Mitali/ and All,

My current employer did not provide me detailed reference letter (with full job description). The letter is on official letter head and just shows my Name, designation, job period and salary. However I am not using this job to claim in 38 occupations (as per old list). Is it ok to provide such letter along with job contract or do i still need detailed job duties for this job as well?

A little bit confused  

I am not using this job to count towards the 38 listed categories. But I am using this job to accumulate years for my total experience. Like

Job 1: 2004 - 2006 ( NOC is Not in 38 Categories)
Job2: 2006 - 2008 (NOC is in 38 Categories - applying on this base)
Job3: 2008 - 2010 (NOC Not in 38 Categories)

So application is based on Job 2.
Job 1 & Job 3 are not beign used for FSW category. But I am using all three jobs (total 06 yeras) accumulatively  to get maximum points for work experience.

So what to do? Plz let me know.

I guess...it depends on mode of payment...if you pay by CC it will bw quick and i payed by BankDraft....so Bankdraft confirmation comes only after 3 days of deposit... so it might have taken some time.

I have question regarding transcripts.
I have original marksheets and degree certificate.My question is:
1>Can I notarize my marksheet copy/photostat and send that?
2>If I cannot do above then any other option?I am unable to get transcripts because I am in USA and college is in India mumbai.Mumbai university does not have any online option and I dont know anyone there to submit the request personally.
What is best to do in my scenario?

Hi tukku,

I completely agree with you that it is overwhelmingly difficult to get "transcripts in sealed envelope"...esp if you are outside India.

Mumbai University is a famous University. While I believe you that online facility to get the transcripts is difficult, contacting the Registrar by mail (Mail having tracking #) and then follow up by telephone (keep telephone references) should be attempted. The reason being that...in case you still are not able to get any response then you can send these supporting docs

1. Tracking # of the mail and the request letter and
2. if you have the telephone details in your utility bills

and mention in your letter that you live abroad and tried and yet were unsuccessful and thus you are sending Notarised transcripts instead of "Univ sealed transcripts" and also provide clearly the Univ address and the contact # in your letter.

This will serve multiple purpose:
1. Will show you attempted the way they wanted
2. Will show you have been transparent from your side.

Now it is upto the VO to check with your Univ as you gave them the contact details regarding the validity of your transcripts.

Many people are sending Notarised Transcripts and maybe are also being waived but it is up to you how much risk you want to take with your application.

Hi Karen,

3yrs of experience---19 points
Sept 2009-to present is 10m----Less than a yr---No points.

But if you can stretch it another 2m or (is it 1 month) to make it 1 yr then you get 25 points. If you have enough time by the time you reach 120day cut off. Remember to send docs well in advance before 120d cut off.

Being unemployed in between for couple of months is not a negative impact but the fact that you were able to jump back into the working force is a POSITIVE point. Will be well appreciated by VO, I am sure.

HOW COME WHERE AS MY FRIEND GOT HER DOCUMENTS BACK ON SATURDAY AND HER FILE REACHED THERE ON 27 APRIL 2010 AND MY DOCUMENTS REACHED THERE ON 29 APRIL.

GUYS PLEASE UPDATE DATA SO THAT WE ARE AWARE OF WHATS HAPPENING.

Mitali dont go yet. Sorry if i have a lot of question. I just dont get how to add points regarding work experience... I am asking in behalf of my close friend... How many points does she has if she worked as a hospital staff nurse for 1 year and 3 months... And then she shifted as a nurse clinical instructor (same duties as staff nurse in the hospital but this time with a higher rank and in a different hospital) for 1 year and 8 months. Only one week of being
unemployed? All in all her work experience is 2 years and 11 months. So 17 points only? Am i right? she is short of 1 month to consider it as 3 years

Do i need to IELTS now or my IELTS requirement is got waived.
what should i understand. Do i need to give IELTS.
How long it will take for 1st AOR after CC got charged.
