hey saki
i didnt understand sameer khan's case if his application is received by cic on 12 april then how can they tell him that they have started wrking on his application on 10 june
and it will take 10 more weeks it means for him it will be more than 4 months to get his first AOR..kindly explain it to me.......

Hi,

its not about his specific case, what i understood is that whenever anyone calls CIC they just tell them to wait for 10weeks more because they themselves are not sure when exactly they will respond so they say 10weeks so that people dont call them every week. It actually takes 8 to 10 weeks from the date application received by cic, so it cant be further 10weeks when already almost 8 weeks are gone. I am sure he will have a response this week sometime or early next week.

Cheers

Sameer,

As I see it, it can not be said for sure if your application will be rejected or accepted on any day before you actually get the visa stamped on your passport. Sad
Although I also believe that the probability of this lessens with each stage of processing the application goes through.
It is clearly stated in the application guide that the decision is taken by the VO at your local CHC so even after your file transfer and all those status changes one stands the risk of his/her application being rejected. There are unfortunate cases reported here on this forum where the application were rejected even after medicals.
All we can do is to assess our chance for approval with the prevalent set of rules and regulations and then wait for the decision from the authorities. we can speed up the process to a limited extent by submitting all the documents as early as possible etc.
But all we have to do is pray and stay positive (as if we have any other option Smiley ).
We can not change the factors that are not in our control by worrying about them.

I pray for everyone who is waiting for the their AOR. May God be with us in this tough journey.

V.Important factor...

Disclosure of funds

If you are carrying more than C$10,000, tell a Canadian official when you arrive in Canada. If you do not tell an official, you may be fined or put in prison. These funds could be in the form of:
cash
securities in bearer form (for example, stocks, bonds, debentures, treasury bills) or
negotiable instruments in bearer form (for example, bankers' drafts, cheques, travellers' cheques or money orders).

Hello everyone,

I have a question regarding filling the payment form, I have enclosed a demand draft along with the payment form, but there was fields of Name of the payer ( in case it is different from the main applicant) also address of the payer in case if dfferent from the main applicant) , as the demand draft is by the name of the bank and my name is not inculded in it at all ( only the reciever general for canada) , HSBC bank , so i left both fields blank. is thats the way it should be or i should have wriiten the name of the bank ?

Thanks
