Hi Chefsam,

Even though I am not Saki, Let me answer and I assume that by PF account you mean the Provident Fund account.

I dont think you can use your PF account balance as proof of fund as the requirement is "unencumbered and readily transferable funds in a convertible currency". As PF is a retiral benefit offered to employees it does not satisfy the above mentioned conditions. With this descriptions it seems only term deposits and account balance statements can be used as proof of funds.

I have got the C.A statement forthe same. and embassy people consider the same.

Hi, I second what sapna said, just because you sent it, does not mean the CHC would accept PF as proof of funds.
Please do update this when you hear from CHC. I am curious.

Also, CA statements, PF, properties etc are good for visit/business visa's  .  For  PR thro CIC , either cash in bank accoounts or deposits or bonds !


Just my view here . If CIC indeed accepts PF, then its good news for all !

My friend already got PR. He shown PF as proof of funds in the docs sent to CHC.

Yes We can include PF as proof of funds and we can withdraw the PF anytime we need hence this considers as liquid funds.
