hi can anyone tell me about april updates im going to apply in next week can anyone tell me that it is gud to apply before rules change or i should wait for new rules. as im going to apply on cookery basis. i got my ielts 6.5 and basic french language as well. PLUSE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT MEANS OF CODE WHICH YOU GUYS USE like AOP, 1111, CHC etc.

None of us know when the rules are likely to change. There is a rumour that they will change in May 2010. However, there is no update on the CIC site yet other than the fact that they are evaluating the 38 NOCs.
My suggestion: - Apply when you are still eligible. Who knows whether you will be eligible later. The lock-in date of your application starts from when it was received at CIC. So even if new rules come, and you submited your application before the date of the new rules, your applcation will be considered against old rules.

I also wanted to ask you guys on how are you planning on IELTS? I have claimed points under Language proficiency but have not taken IELTS so far. Should I wait or plan for IELTS?

Also, can I write TOEFL instead of IELTS?

I have attached a copy of my IELTS result score card to the application.
I don't know whether it was required/expected by CIC. Since I had already appeared for the test, it made sense to attach a copy and claim the highest scores. There is still confusion about whether we need to send a copy of the results to CIC or only to the local visa office at the time of full documentation. I didn't want to take any chances and had already given the test. So attached a copy to my application.

i have also attached IELTS with the application because i was confused otherwise how can we claim the points. without IELTS highest score my point was not enough so i gave ielts and now my points is enough. still its up to them how they view our documents. i am waiting with all positive fellings.

hi thanx 4 reply.but stiil i m not able to get clear answer to my question.i want to knw as my case was refused from delhi visa office on 1st time because of 2 marks shortage.now i have applied again to CIC canada will they give me approval 2nd time?i have applied without giving IELTS.but i send the application to CIC by fullfilling 67 marks . i myself assigned the IELTS score 4 me in application 4 which still i have not any proof.

1.          I need info about Photos that we need photos at first time when we going to submit our application? or later on we have to send them as well they need we have to provide same photos what they requested measure between 25 mm and 30 mm (1” and 1 1/5”) from chin to crown;have a 35 mm x 45 mm (1 3/8” x 1 3/4”) finished size.

2.         Becouse my wife and child living in oversease and i live in australia so its take time to get new photos here so what you advice me???

You DONOT need to attach photos when you send your application to Nova Scotia. If deemed eligible, and you need to submit your complete documentation to local visa office, you will need to attach the photos. Please refer to Visa Office Specific instructions. There is a separate guide for photo specifications for the Delhi office on the CIC Website.

Get the photos done when you receive a letter indicating that you need to submit complete documentation to the Visa Office. You will have 120 days to prepare and submit all documents including photos. So, don't worry. You will have plenty of time.

hi i m new member .i applied for FSW class in august 2009,i got approval from CIC,canada but my application was refused from delhi beccuse of insufficient points in IELTS.i had just 2 marks less i.e total was 65.noe i hve reapplied without giving IELTS on 6th april. i hope my application was received on 9th april to CIC.can anyone tell me will they give me approval this time? I m planning to give IELTS in may so if i get approval from CIC i can send my Application to new delhi with IELTS score.but plz tell me will CIC canada again give me approval?
