After sending the application to CIO, approximately how much time do they take to forward it to concerned VO. At the CIO, does any kind of verification take place, like verification of bank statement, reference letter etc ?? I have a feeling that main job of the CIO is just to make sure that all the basic rerquirements are met and application fullfills the eligibility criteria, like NOC selected is on the 29 list and has not reached the caps, application fee and ielts result is enclosed, etc.It is VO job to make sure at their level that submitted docs are genuine and verify if at all any requirements exists. This is my personal understanding and please correct if i am wrong at any place.

Hasni check forum, many have explained well, the procedure for newer applicants.

Everything is assessed now at CIO level, all documents must accompany the Application as well ,with exception of Police Certificates, Highly recommended but not compulsory.

If IELTS, Fee, forms are missing/incomplete, or applied for illegible NOC, or CAP filled, its sent back immediately without review.

IF fee is cashed that means you passed the above step.

Then they will Grill it for completion and assess your NOC, Points, documents required by CIO and Visa Office (Specific) and last but not the least Exp in elligible NOC and duties performed accordingly (proof supplied).

IF anything is missing or unsatisfactory, you will get the NER.

If everything is fine you will get a PER, and file is forwarded to Visa Office.

In detail the process is as follows:

Central Intake Office: Checks the documents from Checklist, then charge your draft or CC, check the documents in detail and calculate the points and if Positive in accessing points then issue Positive Eligibility Review and forward the file to local Visa Office, if the points are not complete then issue Negative Eligibility review and send the documents back to you along with the Visa Fee.

Visa Office: All documents received from CIO, the points are again calculated and file is sent forward for further processing. Further processing includes verifying the Education, Experience, bank statements, marriage certificates and all other documents and then send Medical Request along with Pass Port Request, then do security checks from CID and Interpol if required and then based on the outcome of the checks either issue or decline PR.
