Hi Buddies,

1. I am a Software Engineere[Tester] with 2 years and 9 months experience from India. I wish to apply for Canadian[Quebec] PR.
2. My hobby is photography.
3. I have not given my IELTS and TEF yet.

My question is ,,

Considering that the Skilled Worker Criteria[NOC List] will be changing on July 1st ,

a. Should I rush in now and file my application ?
Pros : Software Engineer might be removed fron Quebec NOC list after July 1st
Cons :  No IELTS, TEF Score & my experience is below 3 years

                     [ OR ]

b. Wait for 3 months and apply
Pros : Apply with TEF, IELTS score and 3 years experience
Cons : Software Engineer might be removed from NOC.
[I will also be able to get a Diploma in Photography which might boost my chances]

Hi Sujai,

a couple of things which you need to get right.

There is a 'cap' / 'quota' system in place for the FSW.
There is no cap for QSW.

There is a 'list' of NOCs / professions which are eligible to apply under FSW.
There is no list as such for Quebec. Anyone can apply. Selections will be made based on the total score and the chances of the applicant's ability to integrate / contribute to quebec.

Check out the thread for Quebec applicants.

Software engineers dont figure on the current list for FSW anyways.
The photography diploma wont give you any additional points. (pls double check)

Its better to have all your docs and scores and then apply. This will speed up your application. Hope you've already enrolled for french classes.

here are some links to get you going.
