After reading the quick success stories at new delhi , i have been regretting my decision of choosing buffalo ever since.

the time when i sent my application to CIO, we did not have much info except for narinders case hence i chose safety over risk.
now looking back ,i think i should have done otherwise.

LEts see how long of a wait this would be.

Thanks,

Hi Forum Members,

I am in the process of applying to CIO (very Initial stage). I have my application ready, all i need to do is Fedex it to CIO, NS.
Im Originally from India, in US since 7 years have a Masters from US and applying under NOC 0213. Total work exp 8 yrs.
After reading the posts in this thread i have a quick question to the seniors:

1. Is it wise to put - NEW DELHI as the - "Visa Office requested for the process of your application:"  instead of BUFFALO ?
2. If i do so how do i manage things (like submitting full documents at New Delhi) when i stay and work in US ?
3. Is it acceptable for CIC if i opt for NEW DELHI as Visa Office when my present place of Residence is USA ?

PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF IT IS POSSIBLE .........

Your suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thank You

IF you will continue to stay in US then you can opt buffalo however if you want to get your process done quickly or you may go back to India then choosing new delhi is better as its processing very fast now, unless something drastic with respect to rules happens it will always be a good option

You can courier your docs to New Delhi and for stamping or interview you might have to go there.

Yes, its upto you - either home country visa office or you can choose buffalo.

Thanks for your reply Reachmenow.

Appreciate your valuable inputs.
Do u think the Canada Visa office will question me if I opt for NEW DELHI even though i live in USA presently?

And the only reason i would like to get it processed through NEW DELHI would be because of the FASTER TIMELINES.
I an not sure how long i would stay in US......for sure a couple of years but not beyond.

I think i would be able to manage sending documents but i will have to plan for Passport and stamping etc.

I Know i am in very initial stages of applying but any decision taken at this stage might have great impact on reducing timelines.
Any other thoughts are greatly appreciated..!

Thanks

Visa Office wont question it as since you are an Indian citizen you can opt for it.

Its up to you to decide.

However just my thought, if i was sure of staying in US for next 2 years i would have opted for buffalo to avoid extra overheads.

Thanks,

If it is truly faster in New Delhi, then i guess i can try to take a little overhead/plan my India trip accordingly, to get into a faster lane.
Eventhough i have 2yrs more to stay in US, things are not so clear nowadays for H1B guys about how long we stay here.........!!

But my only concern is it should not turn out to be the- "Which Lane is faster when the traffic is jammed dilemma",  all lanes seem to move to me except the lane my car is in..!!

Thanks reachmenow for your valuable inputs.

Need more suggestions from seniors Please..!!

Thanks
