applying to canada immigration after deportation from usa

here is my story
i went to the usa to a b1-b2 visa on 2004 and over stayed my visa till 2007 when i had a car accendent and got arrested by the ins then i was granted a voluntary departure
my question is will that affect my application if i apply for immigration to canada ! except for the violation of immigration law i dont have like any felony or anything and my criminal record is all clean
please answer my q asap
