Hello,

Do we need to work in Canada for applying PR ? Is it possible to apply PR from outside Canada ? Please let me know the procedures involved.

I am a Software Engineer with Masters degree in Computer Science. I am having close to 9 years of Software Industry experience.

No, you do not need to work in Canada to apply for PR.

Yes, it is possible to apply for PR from outside Canada.

You should start reading from the CIC website:
