i'm moving out of US & going to work in India. i have got alberta nomination. can i apply in CIC New Delhi with all the documents ?

is it a mandatory criteria that one should be working in USA with H1B, untill the final approval by CIC for permanent residency ?

OR can i give my friend's address in USA to receive all the communication from CIC Buffalo/New york, without mentioning my India address ? then change the interview location OR may be i can come to US for interview in Canadian embassy.

can anyone please suggest what would be the best place to apply, in N delhi or in Buffalo ?

You can apply to the New Delhi office. I think the time taken to process at New Delhi and Buffalo are the same (chk CIC website). I think that will be easier, just in case they ask you to come for an interview, you need not fly all the way back here.

Mmanoj,
Can you tell you whether you ended up applying to Delhi or Buffalo? Please share your experience here so that we all know from you the pro and cons of picking one place over another.
Thx for your response
