applying from Canada!!!!

Hello,
I've been working here in Canada as a Temporary Worker since July 2006 and after I had renewed my contract as a Permanent Staff at the company I am working for I decided to apply for the permanent residence.
My current work visa is valid until november 2009 and would like to get my RP before it expires.
However I don't know if I should apply as one of the economic immigration classes (skilled worker, entrepreneur, self-employed worker or investor) or if I could just skip this section in the Application For Setection Certificate.
Someone could help me?
Should I try to find a lawyer or someone specialized in immigration to help me? Or is ok to do by myself??
Thanks a lot!!!!!

2 options:
1. You can apply for PR under federal skilled worker category (this is a bit lengthy process, however, as you said you have arranged job, this may speed up your application process)
2. You can apply for PR under provincial nominee program. This takes shorter period of time and they want to see that you have a job offer and you want to settle in that province.
Regarding, applying by ownself or lawyer. Lawyers can help you to file the application in an appropriate manner, they can no speed up the process. I heard they charge good amount as service fees. So, it depends on you and on your financial situation.
If you are confident you just browse through CIC website and get a clear idea of the PR process. The information outthere are clear. They arrange all the documents accurately then you can apply by yourself. Or take some help from those who have already applied by themselves, hopefully this will save you the lawyer's fees.
Good luck.
