applying for visitor visa while staying in Canada

hi all,

currently i stay in Canada under work permit status valid till January 2013.
i want to go outside Canada and get back to Canada after that before my work permit expires.

so, i need a visitor entry visa, right?
is there any online application? is it specific to certain CIC office?
i want to apply it at the CIC office in Seattle, Washington.
