Applying for Visitor visa extension with under 30 days of status left (urgent)

Hey All,

I was just wondering if you can still apply for visitor visa extension, and be given implied status, if there is under 30 days left on your allotted time in Canada (girlfriend's 6 months is up at the end of Feb). We're sending the application in tomorrow (so she has less that 30 days) by FedEx overnight so it will be there before her status expires and we'll have proof of this.

1.  You could have applied on line, but as long as you submit the extension request before it expires, you are fine.

Unfortunately I noticed the ability to submit online as I was going to pay online... which was after we put the application package together and after the 30 days haha

Really!!! I can still apply for Extension and hopefully received Implied Status too??? I have the same situation with under 30 days left in on my Visitor Visa due 1st week of April 2010.

Just make sure it arrives in Vegreville before your expiry date and you'll be fine. I've never heard of anyone having a problem with this.

hello Im on the same situation as you. I will be expiring on April 10,2010 and I have just submitted my requirements online as well as payment so Im sure they received it today. My status now is Implied Status. I have submitted a bank statement, passport , and airline ticket.

You only have to send copies of the marked pages (so CPC knows your status here). You are still in status ; would be on implied status after April 10,2010 till you receive a response from CPC. All the best.
