Dear all,
Please is there a chance of getting a study visa when skilled worker application is on? i mean how do you prove that you will return back to your country when you have already applied for skilled worker program and since most of the refusal i see is on the basis that they are not sure if applicant will come back.
The fact is that i am the principal applicant for skilled worker and again i want to apply for visa to study MBA and i would include husband and kids as dependents. We both want to go for masters and we want to go with our kids. We thought the PR would come out this year so we can join fall admission but going with the slow pace now we feel the PR might extend till next year hence we want to apply for study visa.
Seniors and all who have ideas related to this post please do share your thoughts

I believe it will be harder for you to get admitted to an MBA school as an international student. So, better hold off your study plans for a few months. Until then take exams like GMAT which are required to get into good schools.

I also have similar problem. This PR is what is delaying my schooling.I was to apply to university of Toronto or University of Concordia. But i have to obtain my PR first.I want to apply for the SAT examinations. If i make that i would just go straight to the United states to start my schooling pending the time the PR Is ready

Hello Friends Check this website for getting some idea regarding finding universities in Canada. http://www.studycanada.ca/english/school_find.php?PType=2http://www.cicic.ca/414/admission-to-universities-and-colleges-in-canada.canadaI was also thinking regarding option to apply or atleast to get prepared to get admission in any canadian university, but after visiting few of university websites, it seems hell difficult procedure, contrary to australia and UK. But still, few universities does accept IELTS others prefer TOFEL. Anyone having idea in which state, university policies are flexible and international graduate friendly ! Regards

I will advise we all prepare for GMAT or GRE . . They seem to also prefer second class upper but we would keep on trying. Awoderu i dont advise the US option if ultimate plan is to relocate to canada. Those people dont even have regards for american certificate they still prefer canada own.
My major concern for the canadian MBA is the cost. its quite expensive whether pr or international student. Imagine queens 70,000, BC 65,000 etc. But its like ryhson and werstern ontario are a bit lower between 30-40,000.
You also pay application fee which makes it more difficult. Imagine Ottawa says you should pay $100 for every single application which i consider outrageous.
I have resolved i will do MBA in canada what i dont know is what school but i will remain in ontario province those who have ideas should please share

Everything about Canada is very expensive due to the population. They make getting anything of theirs very stressful and difficult.I have been trying to apply to their universites for over 9 months now all to no avail.US is still the ultimate.Canada is just too stressful.US has got lot of opportunities compared to Canada.Would write the SAT hoping i would get a schorlarship through that to the US

I have extended my study permit while PR application which is a little different from you. I am studying accounting in a university ( a program in graduate school), and my PR is based on my AOE by accounting company (which makes sense..)
I had no problem, I wrote in the letter saying my PR application is in process and my initial AOR is #$%$%&$^& (so they can check) and I said 'I am planning to become a stable and successful immigrant, would like to persue more professinal position, so I would like to study more in Canada upon your approval'. I got the visa.
I think that makes total sense to explain your good plan in Canada and show them you are a stable applicant.
Canada government will want two respectful international students and a immigrant famlily with Master degree holding parents. Won't they? I think so.
What they worry about is some international student would stay here and working illegally. But why would a well educated couple do that? You have a good will and they should see it from your application. I think you should apply for study permit as soon as you can, thinking about your life after immigration. Because education or experience out of Canada doesnt have too much credit here, it takes at least 2-3 years to catch up your position in your original country.(I read it from the news and I am experiencing it too)

I do not think it is possible to apply for a student visa with out getting an admission from a university or school over there. I really need to get an admission. I am at a cross road on how to do it. If i can get an admission for my son at least he can go while myself and my family stay behind pending the time we get the PR. Can Any one offer assistance on how to get into an undergraduate school for my son. I am not desperate about the whole thing. Only doing it because of my children. Now there is a huge delay can any one offer assistance as regrds getting admission into an undergraduate school in the US or Canada
