Hi everyone,
I am planning to apply skilled worker based permanent residence in the near future. My problem is I was refused admission to Canada in tourist category about 8 years ago back in home country, Indonesia.
Currently I am residing in USA on a pending asylum case. I've been in this situation for about 5 years, which one of my main reason to try to relocate to Canada.
My question is,
-am I still eligible to apply for immigrant visa to canada based on the category I mentioned above? what are my chances here? it seems to me Canada is in need for skilled workers, and the last time I checked (03/28/11) they haven't met half of the quota (20,000 workers). and for my skill, chef is on the list.
