Applying for PR of CANADA

Hi Friends,
I am working as a Senior Software Engineer for one of the MNC, working on SAP NetWeaver. I am having 4 years of IT Experience on Java, J2EE, SAP NetWeaver. I am qualified for 67 Points for applying CANADA PR. Consultency is telling that I can receive PR in 8 to 12 months.
After getting PR, Consultency will give PR to me, they wont give support of getting jobs.
1) Is it right time to apply PR (becoz to get visa it takes 1 year and they will give 1 year time to reach CANADA)
2) Usually How the PR holders get the job in CANADA.
3) Can I settile in IT field, If I come to CANADA with PR.
Regards,
Lakshmi Prasad.

I think PR holders usually get jobs by applying for jobs like everybody else. I think it's very unlikely that somebody will walk up to you on the street and give you a job if you never applied.
There are no guarantees that you can find a job in your field. You have to do your own research to find out if there is need in Canada for people with your skills. The consultant will tell you whatever to get your money. I suggest you fill out the forms yourself instead.
