hi can someone answer me this question

i am a mexican and my current status is tourist in vancouver

i want to know if i can apply for a work permit at the US border

and what documents will i need

cause i've seen several guys writing about applying in the US border

You need an employer to apply for a labour market opinion for you to Service Canada.  Basically a paper that says that he is allowed to hire a foreigner.  Then you can take the labour market opinion to the border and apply for work permit.

the E-LMO i got it but my friend told that i got to wait because they need to submit my name to HRSDC after that then i can go to apply for the work permit

do you know how long does it take to get apply from HRSDC?
