Me(USA) and my wife (Bangladesh) are planning to apply

1. Can I apply in Buffalo with my wife even though she is not in USA with me yet ?
(I have passed a year in USA and I will be the principal applicant)

2. For proof of fund, Can I show my wife`s bank account also (IN Bangladesh) in addition with my account?

3. I saw someone has written in this forum that Physicians applying for PR may not need to go through interview,
DO you really think, Physicians get any advantage in this regard, and if yes how?

I will really appreciate your response.

hi, well since u have been legally admitted to USA and will be the principal applicant, you can apply for PR yourself.
regarding the proof of funds, i shall rather suggest u ask your Mrs to transfer the money into your bank account and thus, it will show you have the money.
nevertheless,i reckon u ll be including your Mrs in the application, so u will be alright, just be on the safe side and transfer the money into your account.
I dnt know about physicians but i guess it does fall into eligible occupations list.
thats my opinion, best ask PMM for advice as he is the pro in this matter.
hope this little advice helps.
God bless you&your wife

1.  If the OP was admitted to the US for 1 year, he can apply at Buffalo, and his spouse is included in the application.
2.  The proof of funds must be in a negotiable currency, freely convertible, it can be either spouses name.
3.  Physicians may be interviewed the same as every one else.
4.  I hope you have investigated the difficulty you may have in practising in Canada and the exams you will have to write as well as the extreme difficulty for foreign trained physicians to obtain a residency.

hi mystic blue,

I am in the same boat like you, my wife in Bangladesh, I applied as a principal applicant from USA on February 2008 and included mywife as my spouse, still waiting for AOR, do you have any idea how long it gonna take to get AOR?
I noticed, recently buffslo office is taking more time than normal time frame (1/2 motnhs) to issue AOR
(etter of reciept), for me it is more than 3 months, I wonder whats the reason? why so long ony to send the reciept?

any idea guys,
