Apply as cook with no degree

Hi all

Can seniors pls help me

I have done masters from uni from education. ( total education 16 years). I have done full time cooking job in back home and then came UK and continuing cook job as part time as I am student now. I intend to apply as a cook but do not have any related degree at all. All I have about 6 years of cooking experience. I have 6.5 band in ielts that gives me 12 points. I have assessed in CIC and got 69 points

Can anyone help whether it will be wise to apply.

Though the two NOCs r 'open' in your profession it'd be pretty tough for u to convince the CIC w/out a trade certification... unless u work in F&B Production of a 5-star hotel, whose exp. certs might be accepted w/out much ado.

What's written against their respective 'Employment Requirements' is the same the IOs r looking for... unless seriously/severely demonstrated thru appropriate experience docs.

Do they accept the short cooking courses ( 6 month Diploma) which can make the application strong?
