I had applied for PR under the CEC class last month August 17th and two days back my lawyers have received a letter asking me to take a medical exam, is that a good sign since its been only and month and they have already asked me to get the medical exam done.

My lawyer has also asked me to pay the right of permanent residency fee, does the government ask to pay the fees when I get the medical done or is the lawyer just asking me to pay the fees I am hesitant since if I get rejected I dont want to loose the money but the lawyer feels it will help my case.

I checked up one of the doctors in Scarborough - Toronto and its $210, is there is cheaper doctor from the list and how long does it normally take to get the results back.

Thank you any help is appreciated
