Applied from Mexico since JulyAug,Sept,Oct,Nov 2011..."decision made" already?

I applied on August 2011 in Mexico office as Family Class, my wife is a canadian citizen and we went through the all process now and they have my medical exams,police,quebec,sponsor,etc...is there any one from Mexico office that applied since July 2011 or even latter until today and got any decision made?...please let me know because I'm thinking on applying for temporary visa in order to visit my family soon...does that has any sense at this time?...

We applied on sep 2011 with the federal skilled worker application
We sent all the application to NS Canada and we receive a first email on December approving the application
Then another email on feb 20th from Mexico telling us they have our papers and sending us some web pages to star looking for job and houses.

Hi, I applied through the Buffalo office under the same circumstances as you. They received my file in October 2011 and requested the Mexican Police certificates the same month. I completed that process in January 2012. So far they have not made a decision. Thus, as I am travelling to Canada this month, I had to applied for Tourist Visa and got it without an issue. You just have to explain the reason you are doing so and prove them you will come back once your visit ends.
