Dear Experts,

I applied for immigration under FSW1 Category with NOC 2174(Computer programmer). Currently i am on post grad work permit. Expires in Nov 2011.Now i have a job offer with Computer Network Technician(LMO) title to apply for work permit.

Will it be a problem for my immigration because both the titles are not matching.
(Computer Programmer and Computer Network Technician). Please let me know.

Thank You so much.

Hi

Dear PMM, Could you please let me know?

1.  If you applied for FSW1 NOC 2174 hasn't been on the list for at least 2 years, so it depends when you applied.
2.  2 different processes.  If you had experience in 2174 when you applied, it doesn't effect your work permit and your work permit doesn't affect your PR application, if you qualified when you applied.

Dear PMM, I am confused with the point 1 you mentioned above.

I sent my application in Nov 2009 to buffalo office.(FSW1 NOC 2174)They moved my application to NY office.
It says application processing started on Oct 27 th 2010

The status says :In process

When i enquired the status recently - i got an email saying my applicaiton in queue for further processing.

please let me know.

Thank You PMM,

Hi PMM,

This is the answer i was referring to.Currently i am on PGWP and working under different NOC Code 2281..Will that effect my application for NOC 2174. I applied in 2009.  If i understand you correctly, it will not effect my application.

I belong to FSW3 not FSW1 as mentioned above.

(FSW3 - Applied after i completed 1 year stay in Canada and 2 years prior experience with NOC 2174)

They have asked me for updated docs of IMM 008(Generic, Schdule 1, Schedule 3) along with medicals now.
For current work experience i have to write Computer Network Technician( on PG work permit) instead Computer programmer. Will that effect my application.

Please le tme know PMM.

Thanks,
