Hi all,

Nice to see that thread. I sent my full application to buffalo on 20 september 2009. did not get any file no. but my e cas status changed from CIO eligibility complete" to "application received ".

I saw on trakitt that some one applied in Aug2009 and his file is under background checks. I am not sure which visa office did he apply though but if that is buffalo then i guess things are getting fast in baffalo.

Hi
How can you check your ecas status when u havent received file number from buffalo. Can we do it with the file no from Sydney? If so, when we check the ecas status, what option we have to choose in the drop down list.

Thanks

Yes , i am using the same file no. i got from CIO. Go thru with:-

Immigration File No.---- CIO file no. start with B------- Last name or full name------ DOB----- country of birth----Submitt---- and that s it . you would see your status.

hope you would get it.....

Hi,

I sent full documents to Buffalo on last week of September'09. I've not yet received any response.
I'm moving back to India this month [October'09]. In that case what should I do ?
Following all these threads I got a conception that New Delhi Visa office is doing much faster processing now a days than Buffalo.
My question is Will it be worth for me trasferring my application from Buffalo to New Delhi from d point of view of reducing over all processing time ?
To be more specific How long does it take to transfer application to one visa office to another ?
Also Will it affect my application processing any other way ?
PLzz help guys.

 @ zoom.84

There are lots of ppl like you who are moving to(or planning to) India after sending full app to Buffalo. Although not anticpated at the begining this is cause lots of confusion as there is no clear process ( at least in applicant's side) to initiate transfer file between offices. At least thats what i undestood reading posting.
I believe you can still do that, but trasferring file will probably take another 2/3 months. Still you might be saving lot of time since ND office is fast.

Please let us know how you planned to handle this.

Hi guys,

This is a very nice topic. I am interested as I have submitted my complete package to Buffalo office on September 2nd. Still I have not heard any news from them. My E-CAS status has also not changed from Sydney Eligibility Review Complete.

I would request all the members to mention the following: -

Date of Submission to Buffalo Office
Country of Birth
Present Resident Country
Category as per Sydney mail (A OR B OR C)

Country of Birth is very important, as in Buffalo, all applicants are filed as per their country of birth. People from Western Europe are being processed in less than 5 months, while Indians, Chinese and Filipinos are taking over 14 months already.

Category is important as A is processed over B, and B is processed over C.

Thank you all for your co-operation.
