So, a handful of December applicants from the Buffalo office have been transferred to other offices (looks like NYC/Detroit/LA so far) Mine hasn't been transferred yet, but since I'm in the very middle of the December group, it wouldn't surprise me if it does... (REALLY hoping it doesn't, since I LIVE just outside Buffalo, heh.)

Anyway, what should those who HAVE had their files transferred expect now? I saw one person ask if they will have to wait for another AOR email from NYC... yes or no? Another person asked if the file is transferred what happens if you need an interview? Is it still held in Buffalo? Anything else we should keep an eye out for?

I'm sure any advice would be helpful. This whole process is stressful enough, surprises like this definitely don't help!  Roll Eyes

This thread is a good idea!  We've all known for quite awhile that the Buffalo office is backlogged, but I was still surprised to see them send the applications to the satelite offices.  I wonder how many will be sent this time?

It would be good to hear any experiences people have had with this.  Smiley

In particular what shall we expect if we had sent additional documents (such as police certificates) to Buffalo after sponsorship approval ? In normal times we can sometime have those documents not being added to the initial files but if there is a transfer on top of that !!! Just fear it might be almost garanteed that those additional documents may not be transferred and could therefor be considered as lost.... Sad

This thread used to be pretty active, up until recently actually. Maybe going through others' experiences with LA/Detroit/NY will help you: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/file-transfer-from-buffalo-to-a-satellite-office-nyc-seattle-la-detroit-t48654.0.html
