yes thats true IndianOcean and Chrispeach, got to keep it positive.. Hoping to hear something soon, otherwise we are planning for my hubby to visit in February .... which is farrrrrrrrrrr i know but hey.... it is what it is..

Hello everyone I got a call from Visa Office Pretoria late afternoon yesterday , they said that I can send my passport they are ready to issue my PR..I was so shocked I asked her twice if she said that my visa is out..   . Kept replaying the message in my head, but now i cant remember her exact words,  anyway, SO I sent it with DHL today jsut crossing my fingers it wont be long .... |

Not hearing much from the Pretoria thread...where is everyone?
Husband's 2nd medicals were done and sent to London....the letter from the VO said it should take 3 weeks for London to process...
...still waiting...sigh

congrats theacrissy.
I applied from Cape Town 3 June 2011, the file was transferred to Pretoria 27 July 2011, Meds done 28 September 2011, processing only started 11 October according to the online status.
on the 7th of December, I got an email saying meds were satisfactory and I have until 28 Sept 2012 before they expire, it also asked that I pay the right of permanent residency fee. After a bit of reading we determined that this fee is the final fee before the issue the residency permit. We paid that and faxed confirmation through.
No response since then. Still waiting...
Hopefully I'll also hear soon.

Well in my case, our file was transferred to Pretoria in October, and Medicals done in August. We received the notification of Medicals Received in late November. It was pretty quick in my case. We just had a 2 months delay because of my CSQ ( applying through Quebec ). |

Well in November they asked for my CSQ, but couldn't apply for it yet because CPC-Mississauga had never sent me the acceptation letter. Got everything fixed in January, then sent my CSQ to Pretoria. On Friday, they sent me an email saying they are ready to issue my visa, and requested my passport. I'm going to send it through DHL tomorrow. Haven't they sent you a letter or something since then? |

thank you I had to give for one only,my current one (Mozambique). Because I've only lived here. Yeah I think it's what consumes time, when you have lived around the world, and they have to do background checks and verify the police clearances etc. CSQ = Certificat de Acceptation du Quebec / I'm applying through Quebec, so it's just an extra step that people that want to immigrate to Quebec have to take. I understand how you are feeling when you say it's like your life is on pause, I have entered this battle last year in March, had so many problems, application lost,letters lost in the mail etc.. and now after exactly 1 year, we are done! Just keep on being positive, it will get to you also eventually! |
