applications from syria(jordan)

i've applied in jan2007 as skilled worker,and the only thing i heard from them is the offer to withdraw my application or keep it going. does anybody have the same time of applying as me or the embassy in canada ?and what will exactly happens next?
feel the new law just undermined my chances of getting done with process.
what do you think ppl ?
