It just sounds like a typo. Even so,they should be informed immediately.
Check to see if you family is correctly entered with photos in the forms that they sent you for the DMP.

Just got my medicals in the mail guys. Had a question though. The "Marital Status" box mentions my status as Divorced even though I'm married (happily!!). Anyone knows how to get it corrected? Any need to correct it?

They send me something after a long long time and the form has errors in it.

That sucks!!

You should send a letter to Buffalo along with documents telling them about the need to make corrections. Is it possible you make a mistake in the initial application by checking the "Divorced" box. Check that before you send the letter.

Mark and Honolulu,

Thanks guys. I will send them a case specific email and a letter also. Everything else in the medical forms is correct. The photos are also correct. My wife's status is married, only mine is incorrect. Hopefully they will fix it.

Cheers

Give it at least 12 months from the time they acknowledge receiving your application. After 12 months, it usually changes to "In Process". Then it takes another 3-4 months at least before they send you the medical notice (provided no further documentation is required)

Technically, you can apply to more than one visa office or you can even have multiple applications in different NOC categories. However, I see no purpose being served by doing that, especially if it conflicts with your other application. Not to forget the monetary aspect of this whole exercise.

IELTS is valid for 2 years.

Hi... the online ecas shows the following status. Based on the recent time-lines of other 2009 FSW1 Buffalo applications, when can I expect to see the status changed to 'In Process' and then when to receive the medicals request at the earliest? I am just looking for estimates.

We received your application for permanent residence on September 17, 2009.

Guys,

I contacted the Detroit office regarding the error in the medical form. They told me to correct it myself on the form and submit the medicals.

Your daughter is a Canadian citizen, hence you don't need to show anything for her. Your wife's joint account with her father will not work. You need to submit documents to Buffalo showing funds for both of you (if you have filed together). Buffalo may not necessarily reject your case, but will ask you for documentation on funds again. Better to send it right away.

Also, when i applied last year-i submitted bank certificates from home country and with same currency.I submitted CA report with that,in which he had written the equivalent Canadian dollar to that money. This time,i don't want to waste money on CA,I have with me new certificates-but again currency written on them is of my home country. Can I write on my own or my bank in Canada can help me in that case or not.
