Hello there,
I submitted my application in buffalo with full documents during 17 September. I can check my e-case by using the number I got from NS. My e-case has not been changed since the day received my full documents. About a month ago I sent an email requesting to inform me the status of my application. They replied that have to wait at least 20 weeks since the day received my application and not to make any farther contact and send any documents. It has been more than 24 weeks since I have sent application in Buffalo I have not got AOR from them yet.
By reading others post I can understand that Buffalo visa office is slow. So, we have to wait. It is so difficult to wait. Any suggestion would be appreciate able.
Below I am sharing my e- case status it may help you to understand the situation. In the e-case “Received by Visa office” We received your application for permanent residence on June 19, 2009. We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on August 12, 2009. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us. Your application and supporting documents were received by the Buffalo office. They are pending review. We transferred your application to the Buffalo office on August 18, 2009. The Buffalo office may contact you.

loveworld, there seems to be something missing. Your status is "Received by visa office", which means Buffalo has created your file no. and hence would have issued you an AOR. It is taking at most 7-8 weeks after receipt of full documents by visa office at Buffalo to issue an AOR. Unless and until AOR is issued by Buffalo, the status cannot change to "Received by Visa Office". Since you are already 24 weeks past submission of your full documents to Buffalo, you AOR / file no. would have been issued at least 17-20 weeks back. You need to check with Buffalo CIC for the file number specifically. If you ask status, they can't tell you anything because after "Received by Visa Office", there usually is a wait for 8-12 months before any status change. But, you most certainly should ask about your AOR and they would definitely respond to that. You likely missed an e-mail or mail from Buffalo.

Have you received your AOR from Buffalo yet? If your status shows "received", you should be having a file #. If not, ask Buffalo for a file number.

Hey torontonian2010, please read through the following URL: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/skilled.asp You will be able to make out that since you have an Arranged Employment Offer in Canada, you belong to FSW2.

Hello there, After submitting application with all supporting documents in Buffalo visa office obviously they will crate a new number (AOR). Can anyone tell me during checking e-case by using local visa office AOR number (not by the Sydney CIO AOR number). Can you see the AOR number of CIO Sydney?
Please let me know. Thank you.

I guess by 3rd week of April. Your request reached Buffalo around 2 weeks later than mine. So, keep watching my updates, you should be able to calculate your expected AOR timeline. As the workload on Buffalo is continuously increasing. 4 months back it took 4 weeks to get AOR, 2 months back it had crept to 6 weeks and now it is around 7 weeks.

Hi everyone,
I sent my package to Buffalo on January 27th and it got sent back today. The reason is that we need to send our I-797 and I-94 and I-20 if you are a student. We just sent a copy of our H-1 and F-1 visas and thought that should suffice to prove our status in the US. I suppose that is not enough as they are asking for entry and exit stamps to show that we were in the country.
Is this something we should be worried about? It says you have 60 days to send in the documents. Can you please provide some advice?
Thanks

I guess that's the right timeline... Can you tell em 1 more thing garina.. As i have already submmitted my documents to buffalo does that mean that sydney found it fine with all my required documents and qualifications and that why they decided to process it to the next office. In all my point is that by clearing sydney office did they certified that i do clear for the p.r under my category and that's why they are moving ahead with it ?,.
Thanks

torontonian2010, that is not an assumption that you should make. Basically, Sydney only determined that your category and job activities are appropriate for PR as per the current guidelines. However, Buffalo, will now determine that whether what you claimed is actually true. In other words whether your supporting documents actually substantiate whatever you claimed in your application forms. So, if they dont find the evidence to be adequate, they may request additional evidence or may reject your application. So, if CIO Sydney has approved, it doesn't mean that you are guaranteed to be approved. The Visa Officer of your local visa office makes that determination after reviewing all documents and evidence.

Hello everybody,
This morning I have received reply from Buffalo visa office regarding my AOR. They said that, they sent AOR 14 of October 09 but I did not receive it even though I check my email everyday. I had been waiting for it since I sent the application. To know the AOR number it took 6 months. I had been emailing them to know the AOR since the January.
They also inform me that it will take up to 64 weeks to qualify for the initial assessment.
This forum is great. Senior members are very helpful I appreciate your help. Thank you garian4u who informed me what was missing.
I hope everybody will reach their goal and will be successful.

You are welcome loveworld. So, did you finally get the AOR number or not? 64 weeks is worrisome. I thought they were trying to keep it under a year. But, 64 weeks is 15-16 months, which is much more than a year. God gives us patience.

Guys this timeline is scaring me... But anways ,everybdy is talking about 2nd AOR,so i should assume the sydney AOR as the 1st AOR ,right! And also does having AEO cleared speeds up the process or if not speeds up,would it just be even considered under priority atleast
