i have no gripes about buffalo being slow if it is more lenient in processing applications.
anybody has any statistics or experience showing this to be the case?
i.e., more likely to approve an application as compared to other offices? i.e., less stringent in checking the information on the application forms.
thank you.

That's a unique question. If Buffalo more lenient than others? Never thought of that question but am sure curious to hear the responses!!!

@ omaus25: what is your NOC? I am Civil Engineer too and live in NYC. What is your nationality? keep posted
Hi, I am from Colombia, my NOC is 0711 and 0111 (this one because of my work experience in the USA for the last 3 years, bank industry), but I did apply through my engineering expertise. I live in WI. Where are you from and what are your time frames since you did start all this process? you too keep posted !

I have just sent my full documents to Buffalo. Haven't gotten the AOR yet. Didn't know that Colombians can file for asylum. My NOC is 0711. I am glad that I finally found one person with NOC 0711. we will keep in touch and keep posted.

Hi Elar, Welcome to our long journey here, I believe, you are asking about AOR? If I am correct it took me exactly 28 days to get the AOR from Buffalo. Best of luck,

Thanks professional1 and Bardcir!!, once getting the 2nd ARO in one month, how much time for hearing from them again? at that stage will they request the medicals or paying the landing fee?
Please share some light...

Unfortunatly, here is the frustrating part of the process at Buffalo visa office, they take up to 52 weeks (12 months) from the application date of receipt at their visa office only to start processing the applications. After receiving the AOR from Buffalo, do not expect any kind of communication from them before 12 months. That is why Buffalo is one of the worst visa offices under the new immigration system.
