Thanks for your wishes friends.
Professional 1 - The cover that I got has the following:
1. A letter which says 'Further processing of your immigration application requires the following documents and/or information to be submitted to our office as soon as possible. We strongly encourage you to submit these documents in one package, whenever possible, to the Canadian Consulate General in New York. All documents have to be submitted by mail. We do not accept documents by email. Be sure to quote your file number on all the documents you submit to the Consulate.'
- You will find medical instructions enclosed. Proceed immediately with the medical examination & ensure that the Designated Medical Practitioner (DMP) you have chosen is in the DMP list. Please submit legible copies of the receipt from the DMP office to us as soon as possible as evidence that you have complied with the medical exam requirement. The receipt from the DMP should clearly indicate the DMP's complete name. Visit our website for the lsit of DMPs. (website link)
- The following processing fees are outstanding: Right of Permanent Residence Fee. Please visit our website for specific instructions regarding fee payments. (website link)
Both of these needs to submitted within 60 days fo the date of this letter. Next I have the instructions for medicals and the Medical Report: Section A Client Identification and Summary (with my photo and details on it).

Professional 1 - how long does it take for the medicals. I checked the DMP list and I see that the one close to my city is 2 hour drive from my home. So I am thinking of taking off for a day and getting it done.

Hi Pasi, The format of our letters is completly different, mine is even specifying the amount of the RPRF which is 490 CAD or US dollar. and has an introduction (the above mentioned introduction which i quoted part of it). Any way, do not worry about the interview thing because in my letter it says literally that if you are required to attend an interview do not proceed to the medicals until we ask you to do so in order to avoid the risk of getting your medicals expired, it means that if they wanted you to attened an interview, they would not have sent you the medical forms and asked you to do it within 60 days. Having said that, i think they even have finished your background checks because they want the medicals to be done within 60 days to finalize the application soon. because even in the letter i received from them, it says that if you delay your medicals, you will be the reason of the unnecessary delay in processing your application, which means again that this is the last step they are waiting for. Professional 1 - how long does it take for the medicals. I checked the DMP list and I see that the one close to my city is 2 hour drive from my home. So I am thinking of taking off for a day and getting it done.
Regarding the time taken to do the medicals, if you are lucky, and find all of the labs (blood, X rays in the same building of the doctor office and there is no long queue waiting for their turn before you, it will not take more than 10 mins. unlike my situation the X rays lab was in a faraway building in a different area, and their were lots of people waiting for their turn, so it took me almost 4 hours to get all of them done. Good luck.

To be 100% sure about what is going on in your application, oredr the CAIPS notecs Hope that you will receive your medical request soon and Wish the best of luck.

Hi guys! Congrats to all those who received their med request! I have some queries here that really bothers me a lot.... I was supposed to submit my full documents to Buffalo yesterday coz finally I got my PCC from Dubai after a month of waiting and was the last document I've been waiting for but unfortunately it has a typo error, instead of writting physiotherapist in my profession, they wrote MEDICAL LAB TECHNICIAN... Anybody had the same experience before??? How it will affect my documentation then? Please advice....... Anne55

Anne55 Hi anne55, This is a police clearance certificate not an experience one, therefore the job title is not that important. because the purpose of this certificate is to check whether you have any criminal records or not. The most important thing here will be your full name same as it shows in your passport, the spelling of it, date of birth,....and any personal information belongs to you if the format of that letter from that country containing them. Anyway, my advice is, Send your documents to Buffalo, and at the same time apply again for that PCC to get your job tittle corrected from Dubai, as soon as you get it send it immediatly to Buffalo with an explanation letter.

Professional 1 - Thanks for your reply.
The letter that I got also has the line that you mentioned - if you are required to attend an interview do not proceed to the medicals until we ask you to do so in order to avoid the risk of getting your medicals expired. This only made me believe that my interview could be waived. Anyways I am not worried much about it now.
About the medicals, I called the DMP office yesterday and got the message that they are open only from Mon - Fri, 8:30 am to 5 pm. I need to call them again tomorrow to get an appointment and then proceed further.

Pasi, That is good. Try to have your medicals done as soon as possible because i do not know why the doctor says it takes 2 weeks to send the results to Ottawa, all of them here in ontario say the same !! i have no idea how are the medicals going to reach Buffalo within 60 days if it takes 2 weeks only to reach Ottawa, and i heard that Ottawa takes up to 4 weeks to send the results to Buffalo !! I need to see someone "In canada applicant" who has done his medicals and they reached Buffalo to know how much did it take to reach Buffalo, but i cannot find anyone here !

Hi Professional, My impression is that once they reach Ottawa, its OK. I do not suppose that we need to factor in transmission time to BUffalo from Ottawa. My thoughts only.

Professional 1 - I am asking this just out of curiosity. What would be the next step after medicals and RPRF? Do we need have anything to do before the passport request? Also do you know any idea about how long it takes to get your visa after you send your passport?
