I wanted to start a thread for people who have filed their application through NS >>> Buffalo. Maybe it is a good idea to share our thoughts and processing information. Any queries are welcome too. I have myself had some experience with the process, so maybe we can all provide food for thought. http://[glow=red,2,300][/glow]

Also, if any of you members have had the successful experience of filing through the abovementioned route and would like to share it, that would be great.

Hi Reach,
Good to hear from you. It will usually take about 2-3 weeks to get AOR from NS Office. Once the Buffalo Office receives the documents, they take another 2-3 weeks to respond back. From what I have heard so far, the Buffalo office is slow at processing applications.

reachmenow, you and I are on the same boat. I sent mine to Buffalo on Sept 15, 09 as well. I haven't heard anything yet.
It is my understanding from reading the posts on this forum that Buffalo usually emails a new file number (local visa office file number) within 3 - 4 weeks or receiving the full application. Then the application awaits processing by a visa officer.
However, I also have this hunch that this timeline is not a recent estimate and the wait period has actually increased somewhat from 3 - 4 weeks. Anyways, we both have couple of weeks before we hit the 4 week mark and only time will tell what's going on with Buffalo's processing time.
Whatever happens, I'd like to keep in touch with you; since we have the same timeline. Let's update our status on this post on a regular basis.

Hi guys, I have a doubt. Can just people from USA and Canada send their complete application to buffalo, or even people living in other parts of the world, for e.g. new delhi, send their package to buffalo as well??

Hello Friends,
I had also submitted my application thru the attorney in the 1st week of Sept - 1st or 2nd of Sept in-fact. But came to know that the processing timing is late and AOA is yet not received. So its with everyone.
Can anybody tell me that since I am working as a federal worker in US, what-if my Indian company calls me back, while my Canada PR is going on from Buffalo ?
Some good facts really appreciated !

IT wont be an issue, you can keep you PR processing at buffalo.
however there are 2 points to note.
1) If you care called for interview, you need US Visa to attend it.
2) Indian passports cant be couriered from India, its illegal so when your visa stamping comes , you either have to travel to US or send a friend or relative.
so overall the main issue is US VIsa , we all know how difficult it could be to get a B1/B2 VIsa.IF you have one already then no issues at all.
Thanks,

eCAS status changed to "In Process" today. Haven't received the new file number yet. Hoping will get the new file number in a week or two.
