If we have a thread for every single month, there will be a huge number of threads going.

Would it not be easier to just have one thread for MI-1, another for MI-2, another for MI-3 etc?

by the way, what is MI-1, MI-2 etc. I didn't get you guys..sorry!

MI-1, MI-2 and MI-3 etc are Mission Impossible 1, 2 and 3 movies starring Tom Cruise.

(Nah, just kidding Smiley)

MI-1 = Ministerial Instructions 1 (i.e. applications received between Feb 2008 to 26 June 2010)

MI-2 = Ministerial Instructions 2 (i.e. applications received between 26 June 2010 to 30 June 2011)
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/applications-after-266-in-any-noc-connect-here-to-get-the-status-t49421.45075.html

MI-3 = Ministerial Instructions 3 (i.e. applications received between 1st July 2011 to 30 June 2012)
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/july-01-2011-fsw-applicantsmi-3-t74992.3525.html

MI-2 and MI-3 already have their own threads. I think MI-1 had various threads for different months, which meant there were a lot of threads kicking around.

So anyway I'd suggest anyone from July 1st 2011 onwards hooks up with the guys on the MI-3 thread, since you're all in the same boat Smiley

Hey Friends,
I have submitted my docs through my consultant in first week of September 2011.
I have been told by them to arrange for the Police Clearance Certificates from UAE, Saudi Arabia, India and Kuwait.
I live in Kuwait at present.
Should I arrange for them or should I wait for the file number to come atleast?
Please share your experience.
Thanks.

Since you havent submitted along with your application, you may as well wait for your file number, to know for sure that you are accepted, and then apply. But then you have 4 countries to tackle, so just figure out how much time it requires. From the time you get your file number to the time you get your request for PCC will not be more than 2-3 months as per the present timelines. Hope this helps

Does it mean that the CHC sends the file number first and then later on after 2 to 3 months they will send the request for the PCC?

I was told by my consultant that once you receive your file number, you are supposed to submit the PCC. So, what is the correct sequence?

Roughly,
India takes about 2 weeks (as my passport was issued in Jeddah) and is valid for 6 months.
Kuwait will not take time - they say about 10 days or so.
UAE takes more time - I am not sure how much?
Saudi Arabia - Seems to be a complicated procedure - no clear cut time line.

What should I do?

Thanks very much for your reply and help.

Dear drjafs

I suggest to apply now without PCs don't worry later on they will give u a chance of 90 days to get all of them but I don't think so they will request them immediately after the file no. I think later on

Not sure. 0631 and 3131 are fast filling up. But the thing is, the initital rush of applications must be over now. So, they might be a it more up to date with their CAPS updates I think. What's your opinion?

Vinod why not post this query on this thread as well. There are more people out there to analyse.
