Just phoned them. They asked if I included a Offer of Permenant employment. I said I had, because, well, I did. Then they said (in summary) "Yes CIO made a mistake... but there's nothing we can do. You have to resubmit your application and mark it urgent to reinstate your case."
What a joke. I'm utterly appalled at this. I refuse to have to wait till the pack comes back and resubmit again because how can I then prove that it was their mistake? It's just disgusting this whole thing. I'm fuming.
My work permit runs out in June next year, I was counting on this progressing properly to ensure I did not have to obtain a new LMO/TWP.
Hi Jimmy, Sorry for my delayed reply, only just got out of bed to read this must have just missed it last night. I agree this is utterly appalling and completely unacceptable. Travel Dream experienced a similar level of incompetence when his entire package was returned (after a THREE MONTH delay) because they claimed he had not submitted some passports which he had. FSW2, although they don't have to worry about cap limits and proof of funds and duties matching the 29 list, do have a ticking clock because they need to get their application finalised prior to their TWP expiring, otherwise they have to apply for LMO all over again and pray that they get it approved second time around. So in a way it's more vital FSW2 get their visas in a timely fashion than FSW1. We spend thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours per applicant on these applications and it seems they spend little more than a few minutes employing blind monkeys to assess them My utmost sympathies I hope you get a resolution as very quickly as possible, but if they have already posted the application there is probably little can be done until you get the application back, but hopefully they will provide you a route to getting back to the front of the processing queue so you can resend. If there is a small silver lining in this large cloud, it seems that they will be sending rejection notifications by email, and not just by post as originally thought? Or did you email them first? Wayne.

You can go back a few post and find that someone applied with academic ielts and there was no problem. I think academic ielts is just fine although they ask for general. Nowhere I can see academic is not accepted. Good luck.

Jimmy, shocked to know that inspite of their mistake you are suffering. Hope matter is sorted out by communication. All the best and may god bless you......
Yes alas it seems that not only do you have to do everything perfectly and be eligibile, you also have to be lucky. Lucky enough not to fall victim to their incompetence .... Wayne.

I would suggest to send the academic one because you did it better. My interpretation is that GT suffices for the application and you don't need to take the AT which is considered to be harder to achieve. But if you look back few posts you will see that other person succeded to get the PER with its AT. Congrats to all PER-s receivers.

CanadaJimmy,so sorry to hear about your email. It really sets you back, the same thing happened to my husband and I under the old rules, due to a fault of our agent. We had to reapply under new rules and get a lot more paperwork etc under new rules. I hope you manage to get it sorted out. Never give up, with the help and support from all on this forum it helps you along difficult times like this .

Well said Wayne!. Getting increasingly uncomfortable thinking of the results, even if we know we are 100% eligible Thanks, Indira Prabhakaran.

Hi tryresistingme, The encashment of your draft means that you passed the completeness check. Next will be a final eligibility review, and if you are successul they will send confirmation by email. An applicant whose application was received on 18 Aug (one day before yours) has gotten their confirmation of positive final eligibility review, so cross fingers you might expect yours over the next few days, so keep checking your emails! If you'd care to give us details about your visa office, NOC code and whether your PCC was included with your application then we can add you to our spreadsheet tracker (please see my signature for the link). Cheers, Wayne.

If you reach the pass mark(which is 67) with GT exam points ,I prefere to send this result. otherwise you can send Academic result to get more points, because Im sure its acceptable also.
