dear fma,
thanks a lot for taking time to guide us.
can u pls elaborate point # 6.
do u mean we shud keep 2 original copies of each document like PCC, work experience etc...
thanks
-POSITIVE
Dear Positive

This is in response to ur questions of this morning.

1- you will send PCC to VO once you get AOR from CIO, they will specify time limit within that time you have to appear for medical aswell and send to VO, otherwise ur file will be closed.

2- Anil rightly said, to reduce time limit and make process faster, they are asking complete documets to CIO once your application is assessed and found to be correct your will get AOR with file no. from CIO.

3- with this file no. u will be able to check ur estatus.

4- Pre 26/6 we need to send second set of complete doucments to VO, along with PCC and medical [which will be sent directly form your Physician]

5- Post 26/6 still no one received AOR. we dont know what they will come with and what changes will take place, as this is first year for CIC as well, they will take time to set things right, dont expect in one go that all the changes will take place correctly.

6- keeping in mind step 5, I advice all members to keep 2 sets of all documents, in case VO request documents u can send immediatly along with PCC after performing medicals, one copy will be in ur file for future reference.

Hope it is clear to u and all

Cheers

Does the standard of class the kid studied in India matter while getting admission in a public school in India?
Do they take any knowledge assessment/admission test like many convent schools do in India?
r school books given free or one has to purchase?
What things/document r required for getting admission in a primary school for first or 2nd grader?
in which month admissions for primary schools r done? i mean in which month the school session starts in ontario, Canada?
What happens if school is in mid of its session when u land in Canada & go for kids admission? Will they give admission in same class even if half the session is gone by that time? Or will the kid b placed in a lower class?
AND MOST IMPORTANT:IS THERE ANY SCHOOL BUS SERVICE TO TAKE KIDS TO SCHOOL FROM HOME LIKE IN INDIA?
thanks

If someone can't get Birth Certificate don't worry:

Get two affidivits of births from two different people, who were present at the place of birth when you were born.

The affidivits should clearly mention the following:

Name of the person, who is writing the affidivit.
How that person is related to you (uncle, big bro, big sister, grandfather, etc)
The person who is writing affidivit, has to be adult at the time of your birth
Affidivits from grand parents are preffered.
Pleace of birth
time of birth
names of your other siblings
your rank among other siblings

and few more general things.

Affidivits always worked for me and my family, not only in Canada but also in USA

Hi Maani1985,

Thanks for the info, but it would be great if you can share more insight into this. If i can get a new birth certificate where in my place of birth can be as mentioned in my passport, half of all the issues would be gone Smiley. Also pre June 26, CIO and VO used to accept the school certificates and 10th and 12th mark sheet as the date of birth certificate. But now they started returning the applications stating the absence of BC. They keep changing the rules. Did you apply for Canadian PR already and provided the affidavits and they had accepted it? Even if yes, i'm not sure if that will work post June 26. Please could you share more info on this to try out, because my area VAO doesn't know anything about this. Also, if we don't have a birth certificate, we would not have been accepted into any school in India, at least after 1980 as per my VAO. I'm sure this question will come up.

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

People, more doubts from the doubts master  Cheesy

I would be able to change my place of birth in my passport in the next 15 days. We already got a copy of the PCC from UK. It states my place of birth(old one). I guess anyway we will be required to apply for a new one for VO. Will it be a concern for the CIO if they notice a change in the place of birth? Anyway, i am required to send photocopies of all pages of my old and new passports right?

Also can we have a different communication address, than a permanent address(which is also the one in the passport) for the application?

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

Indra!!! You are worrying too much...just relax......my younger brother (who is  PR now), applied and his place of birth was different in his birth certificate and passport, since the borders of village in which he was born were changed and nowadays it comes under new municipality....he was never asked about it....as long as you have a valid reason, they will ask you about that at a later date or Background checks.........I am not sure about your NOC, but if it is one in which you think there will be more people, then don't delay your application for 15 days......( i am not 100 % sure abt your case, so obviously use your discretion.....)
also we can have a different address for correspondence....not a problem.....

Sorry forgot to answer....if you are sending the copies of old and new passports with different places of birth, then write a small note about the mistake and attach it to the passport copies....

Hey Noolan,

Thanks for your advice, but the BC is not the one dragging our launch date Smiley, Prab is giving another shot for IELTS as he has 0.5 band less for the maximum points, and as of now, we just arrive to the 67 points. There is a small confusion as to whether CIO will award points for my 1 year diploma in Aviation and Hospitality Management, as the institution is closed now and it is not clear if they were recognized by the government, although they got a lot of govt contracts for training people and scholarships, and too much of awards from state and central governments. I just noticed that they have changed name to Aviation and Hospitality Academy instead of Air Hostess Academy. The logo remains the same. Please have a look at their website.
http://www.airhostessacademy.com/aha_home.html
As already mentioned, they had affiliation with the Cambridge international Examinations, UK, but our diploma certificate do not cite anything in relation to CIE UK. I tried contacting the CIE UK, they confirmed that they had affiliation with them and that they did not receive any student information to provide the certificates. So they cant help validating my diploma now.

So, the best thing is not to count the 3 points for adaptability under spouse category, and so Prab has to get additional points for language(the only possibility). His re-exam is on 25th Sep and the results will be out on 8th Oct. We can finish off all the other paper work before that and launch the application on the same day we get the results Smiley

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

Hi,
Things are a bit complicated  here than I thought..lol  ... did you contact your institute lately? I am not sure about india, since i am not from india, but i suppose if they are allowed to change name, it suggests that they were registered and a legitimate college in the first place...may be I am wrong, but if you could take your certificate and speak to them about your problem, I think they should help here, if they are now open with another name......They must be registered with the govt and the state.......
and best of luck to prab.......hopefully he will improve his score...

Hey Noolan,

Yes they are complicated Sad. Actually the institute has shut shop abruptly and only their website and some other sources claim that they operate under a different name. In fact, for some of their last batches, they did not provide a diploma certificate and staff were never paid promised salaries and people are taking them to the court(was on media up and now). All of the phone numbers are not in use now, and emails no response. I have proof that i studied there, my original certificate, transcripts, ID card etc., Also the mail communication from CIE UK confirming they had affiliation with AHA during the time of my course. So, this is upto the VO/CIO to decide Wink

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.
