I must admit though the rate of the PERs considering they've supposed to have been doing them for several months now is still alarmingly low...
Wayne.

Seems that instead of going onto full throttle they have slowed down!

Even if we added up to less than 5% of the total complete applications received at CIC, the number of PERs released per day seem quite low.  Quite surprising as the PER, unlike its predecessor the AOR, serves more an informative rather than a transitionary role.. of course, notwithstanding the PER is also the prelude to the start of the "Selection and Admissibility" phase...

With the Christmas and New Year holidays coming soon, I suppose if nothing is heard over the next 2 to 3 weeks then its 2011..

Cheers

I would be very happy with a PER before Christmas! Well I'd be happy to get one at all, but the waiting at this stage is proving very frustrating.

I think I can cope with the long wait at visa office once we know our final eligibility review is passed.

Wayne.
Yes Wayne there are full chances of August applicants getting their PER before Christmas, but at this rate I very much doubt for September guys to get their PER before Christmas ! Till keeping fingers cross and hope for the best......

Hi All – It's been some time.  Been very busy with work and travels.  Just got back a few hours ago, and only managed a few hours of sleep.

A big congratulations to all who have received their AORs.  For the rest, I am sure it will be a matter of time before you get yours too.   As for myself, I received mine on the 29th.. Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin  Yahooooooooo!

Smiler11 - my deepest condolences on the passing of your dad.

And now back to bed.....!

Cheers

I knew it! Was expecting that... Great news Temasek, Congratulations my friend  Smiley

Wishing everyone the best of luck, we should soon be finished with July and early Aug applicants...
Regards,

Sometime ago I posted the link to the Q&A from CIO. It was written there:
Q. Could CIO accept 10th standard school leaving certificates in lieu of birth certificates and for names for Indian applicants born before 1980 as currently done by Visa office?

A. The CIO has received information from the visa office in New Delhi about the various documents that might be submitted instead of a birth certificate. If applicants do not have a birth certificate, they may submit another document with a written explanation that it is a substitute for a birth certificate.

I would like to remind also that this info is dated Nov 19, 2010
It is correct MSM 2332, but still we have found that New Delhi VO application has been sent back for the want of Birth Certificate. Hence if till date CC/BD has not been encashed than it is advisable to send mail to CIO and get the status of application. All the best.

Is is true that CIO will be closed for almost 10 days during Christmas ! This is because one of my friend has sent an application last year on December 20, 2009 and had reached Nova Scotia on 24th December 2009 in afternoon. But nobody was there in office in the afternoon and hence it was very tense period for my friend who had made number of calls and mails to courier company as well as CIO to receive his document. Only on 5 th January 2010, it was received by CIO.

1. I doubt that the applications were returned for that reason on or after Nov 19.
2. I know that some applications were returned before Nov 19 because of missing BC.
3. I know that applications under NOC1122 were returned for that reason and there is a good chance to make an appeal for those cases, IMHO, to catch this year train.

At this rate not all of the August applicant PER decisions will be sent out before Christmas, looking at the current rate and maths. They need to up their rate some to even get the August ones done before Christmas.

Assuming we're not really going to see any a day or two before Christmas - we basically have two full weeks and then maybe a week with a few working days in, in which CIO will send out PERs.

So around 12 to 13 working days maybe.

There are currently 31 "active" pre-Sept-01 applicants who have yet to hear, so 2 per day won't be enough. CIO would need to average 3 per day, and we've had what - 4 PERs all week so far?

Starting to think January for us now, tbh.

Wayne.

Oops got my maths wrong. We have 3 full weeks plus a half week before Christmas Eve. So we're probably looking at 17 or 18 working days after today before Christmas.

Therefore if an average of 2 regular people on the list get PER before then, all of August will just about get theirs.

But this week we're not even seeing 2 per day average, it's more like 1 per day.

Dear 2future,
One PCC per country ( where you lived more than 6 months period.)
No need for separate PCC for different cities of same country.
If you still have query please feel free to ask.
